Sunny twin room in La Boca. Balcony

Apartment - Private room · Aristóbulo del Valle, Buenos Aires, Capital Federal, Argentina

The Space

A private big room with balcony in a sunny apartment in the neighborhood of La Boca. For two or three guests. Mmmhh, suspiciously cheap? I'm ok with this price, I like to have people here and you can spend more money in my country.

Not a hostel but my and my son's home. Everyone liked it, you will too! 10 blocks from San Telmo, the historical city. 5 blocks from Caminito, the typical La Boca spot. 25 blocks from Plaza de Mayo central square and the pink house where the President "works". Bus to Palermo, the trendy neighborgood -30 minutes- night and day. The same bus puts you on Retiro central station to go to Tigre harbour and islands by train in 1 hour.

Super comfortable (not the train!! but my house). There is wifi, there is no TV. Two cats. We share the kitchen. In summer you can enjoy the roof and use the grill. I can give information about places to go and things to do and to know, if you want.

You will find yourself relaxed and comfortable in my house and my neighborhood. Perhaps you will spend 1/2 day visiting the very (posibly too much) touristic area of Caminito. But the city is big and full of nice or strange things to see, to taste, to go. This is a good starting point to go for them and return when you feel tired and really need to rest a little before tomorrow's adventures.

Feeling lazy? Not enough rest? Spend the hole day home! There are lots of books in spanish, some in english and swedish, one in french and another in portuguese. Also guides and maps. If the day is sunny, buy some fruit or something fresh, put on your headphones and take some of the sun on the roof. When you start feeling guilty, take my bikes and ride a little (ok, perhaps that day I'm using one of them). There are some safe ways -bicisendas- to go close or far and enjoy the city in a different way.

If it rains there are movies in english and spanish. There is also an owen, I will be very happy smelling cake smell.

  • Federico was a great host and made us feel very welcome. He gave us a lot of tips on Buenos Aires and we all enjoyed a few beers and pizzas the first night we arrived. The room is very spacious and there are supermarkets and bakeries across the street which was so helpful. The apartment is lovely with a sunroof on top, and minutes away from Boca stadium although slightly outside the centre but you can easily get a bus into town. Thanks Federico! 

  • Apart from the 100% positive experience, I'd like to add that I enjoyed Federicos home as a perfect story place!!! The quarter, his open and very welcoming apartment, the rooftop and his personal way of hosting the whole in the most relaxed and attentive manner make it a colourful island inside Buenos Aires and that's so cool!

  • Don't be afraid of this area! The accommodation is rustic and charming. You are staying in someone's home, and Federico is a wonderful host. The room is bright and comfortable and the atmosphere generated by the host is warm and welcoming. The many bus routes nearby make it easy to explore the beautiful city and there are many places of interest within walking distance. If you want to live like a local, at a great price, in an authentic home, then you could not do better than staying with Federico.

  • Frederico is a great host, the flat was perfect with is roof and buenos aires is a really nice city. Thanks for all!

  • We had a great stay in Federico's wonderful apartment - a classic but beautifully decorated old porteño-style building with huge ceilings and balconies, and an adorable acrobatic cat.

Federico was very obliging - making more rooms when we wanted to stay longer (!) and always inviting us to little BsAs entertainments. We enjoyed two delicious asados on the roof and partook in a bake-off...

The place is a little far out from all the action in Palermo but there is a bus that goes to all of the hotspots (direct to Plaza Italia 40 minutes, San Telmo 5 minutes, Retiro...) and is just minutes from the colourful houses in la Boca. There is also a great little local cafe (Roma) which is so cheap and authentic we whiled away days there (who needs ultra-modern, sterile Palermo?!).

  • I had a great stay with Federico and his little cat Diego. The apartment makes a great home base in Buenos Aires and there is lots of natural light in the bedrooms. His place is also only a skip, hop and a jump from both Caminitio and San Telmo. Federico welcomed me into his place when I arrived in BA and allowed me to crash and rest off my jetlag without bother. Then once I was feeling up for it, he spent his evening with me hanging out and drinking beers at his flat. Federico then invited me out to a scrimmage of football with his mates which was lots of fun! I'd definitely recommend staying here. Couldn't have a had a better welcome into Argentina!

  • Authentic, familiar, hermoso, limpio, segura, very clean, safe, muy informativo, he knows a lot and has a lot to tell about his city, very nice person, La Boca, highly recommended ...

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Federico's. He was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. I felt as though as I was home! Diego, his cat, was super cute.
I loved Federico's home - it was so individual and a very cool place. His apartment was very convenient and easy walking to San Telmo and downtown.
Thanks again for an excellent stay!!
