The apartment is set in a quiet village near the fabulous Comeragh Mountains in Irelands sunny South East close to the historic Viking City of Waterford and the beautiful Copper Coast (European Geopark).
The nearby towns of Dungarvan, Ardmore, Lismore and Youghal offer everything from seascapes to cafes/castles/gourmet food.
Converted from old farm outbuildings in the Courtyard of a traditionl and picturesque thatched cottage. The apartment is a bright, airy, comfortable space consisting of full kitchen/dining, large lightfilled lounge with comfortabke armchairs, glazed doors opening onto patio and cosy en - suite bedroom opening onto courtyard.
Patio table/chairs in barbecue area plus use of garden with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Use of Artist Studio/Workshop optional extra.
Amazing sunsets behind the Knockmealdowns and sunrises behind the Comeragh Mountains.
Indoor/outdoor breakfast available on request.

Couch available for third guest at an additional cost of €20 per night. Fridge box/bag, picnic chairs, thermos flasks and small charcoal BBQ available free of charge for day trips etc. Loan of easel for painting/sketching .
Comprehensive file of tourist information on the culture/history and extended area for sightseeing-exploring-walking. Plus extensive list of restaurants/cafes in Dungarvan and surrounding towns/villages. Tourist office in Dungarvan.

Loves meeting new people sharing stories/travel info' and cups of tea/coffee! Respects the needs of guests whether it be privacy and total rest/seclusion or friendly shared interaction.... It's always the guests' choice.
We are lucky to live in this beautifully scenic area where the air is sometimes positively effervescent! And the moon when full casts a soft glow on the Comeragh Mountains.
The surrounding area is ideal for a stroll, some serious mountain or coastal walks, cycling, fishing and has some beautiful beaches for swimming or picnicing namely Clonea-Ardmore-Stradbally-Youghal and a bit further to Tramore, Dunmore East etc.
Among the many festivals hosted in the towns -villages and greater area.The nearby town of Lismore is host to the international Travel Writers festival in August and the harbour town of Dungarvan hosts a now world- famous food festival in April plus numerous traditional/jazz music and cultural festivals throughout the year. There is theatre, cinema, art center, and Galleries,museum and library. Restaurants/cafes and pubs with music to suit every taste from Traditional Irish to Jazz and Country etc. Pllus parks and public anenity areas for relaxing while watching tennis or lawnbowling.
Local Soccer,Hurling or Gaelic matches take place in the GAA field near the town.
The Historic Viking city of Waterford is 30 minutes away. A bit further on is the Castellated City if Kilkenny. And in another direction is the bustling English Market ! In Cork City plus the serene seaside village of Cobh where the ill-fated Titanic set sale from.The village is now home to the Titanic Museum.
The drive along the Copper Coast is breathtaking and totally unspoiled by development. There's a cycling/walking track (developed on the original railway track) from Waterford to Dungarvan.
We are situated in a very quiet, peaceful, rural village surrounded by open space yet within a short drive to numerous amenities.

Own car preferable but transfers available at an additional cost if required. There are bus services from Dungarvan to Waterford/ Cork cities and beyond plus train services from either.
Dublin and all parts of the country are accessible by bus services from Dungarvan and connect to trains and all other parts of the country. Cork is the nearest international airport and Rosslare is the nearest sea port. A taxi service operates from Dungarvan.
Other Things to Note
Electricity is metered. A reading is taken on arrival/departure. Payment is for power used only and is payable direct to host on departure.
There's a no smoking policy within the apartment.
Guests are respectfully asked to comply with the in-house environmentally savvy recycling system.
Should a problem arise with internet(very very rare)
there is free broadband in the Public Library as well as in most of the cafes-bars-hotels - restaurants and public amenity areas in our nearest town Dungarvan. There's also an Internet Cafe for photocopying printing etc.
A covered drying area is provided for outdoor clothing hiking boots etc. Guests are respectfully requested not to hang wet clothes inside as this causes damp. Thank you.
Well-behaved pets are welcome.
Please leave the apartment securely locked and the roof windows closed when going out and shut the gate (dog may wander).
Try not to wear outdoor footwear when indoors.
Please dry washing in the area provided and not on the heaters.
