Better in person, guests say

Guests consistently highlight the design, walkability, and how the space feels even better in person
A beautiful second-story apartment on Michigan Avenue with incredible views of the newly renovated train station, which is absolutely stunning all lit up out the big front windows. Situated on the same block as Alba, Sugar House, Ima, and Slows and across the street from Grandma Bob’s, this two-bedroom neighborhood flat provides an immersive, welcoming travel experience in the heart Corktown, Detroit's oldest neighborhood. Walk everywhere—15 minutes along Michigan Avenue will get you Downtown.

The space
—Prime Corktown location
—Highly walkable
—Easy walkable access to Downtown and brand-new Riverfront park / path
—Brand-new mattresses and bedding
—Close to downtown and all highways
—Thoughtful design and details
—Fully stocked and open cook’s kitchen

With a prime Corktown location across the street from the majestic former train station (designed by the same architects as Grand Central Station) just underwent a multimillion dollar renovation by Ford, this two-bedroom apartment could not be better located. Enjoy the beautiful view through the big living room windows—you can even see the Ambassador Bridge!

You'll be smack into the middle of one of the most thriving, charming and walkable neighborhoods in the city. We share a block with Alba, Sugar House, Ima, and Slows, directly across the street from Grandma Bob’s pizza, a short stroll away to plenty of other bars, shops and restaurants (I provide guests with a recommendation list of favorites), and easy access to downtown (10-minute walk downtown, straight shot down Michigan Avenue!).

The well-appointed, design-minded space is outfitted for comfort. There are two bedrooms, each with a BRAND NEW extremely comfortable queen bed and its own bathroom, for a capacity of four people, with additional possible sleeping arrangements for kids.

We’ve been running this apartment as a guesthouse for more than a decade— pre-dating the Airbnb craze, and the reviews reflect a consistently fantastic experience. Anytime our guests let us know something didn’t meet expectations, we address it immediately— including beds. We recently (2023) invested in brand-new, incredibly comfortable quality memory foam mattresses and cozy, organic cotton bedding for each bedroom.

This space has been featured in Martha Stewart Living, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit (made the 40 "Best Food Lovers Hotels in America" Awards), The Globe and Mail, Details Magazine, Conde Nast Traveller UK, and Afar.

Guest access
Guests can access the entire apartment, with the exception of the roof, which is off limits.
