Enjoy the space, fabulous views and village feel of Crystal Palace yet with great proximity to central London. All of the ease, none of the cost.
Large, bedroom/sitting room with private bathroom in comfortable 60s end of terrace with a big, west facing garden with decking. The room is neatly divided between the sleeping space with a big double bed, wardrobe and bedside light and sitting area with a sofa (bed - see below for accomodating little people), table and chair, tea and coffee making facilities.
20 minutes to London Bridge, 25 minutes to Victoria, 35 minutes to docklands (train). Crystal Palace station 10 minutes walk, 5 minute taxi ride. Easy access to Crystal Palace park with 1890s concrete dinosaurs built for the Great Exhibition. The park also has a great modernist sports centre, a city farm (worth a visit to stroke the impossibly friendly goats and ginger pigs). 45 minutes car drive to Kent/Sussex countryside.
Great neighbourhood restaurants, bars and pubs of Crystal Palace a few minutes walk away. Crystal Palace also boasts a lovely independent bookstore, incredible antique and bric a brac shops and a host of foodie and gift stores. There's a supermarket for life's necessities and basics too.
We aim to provide everything you should need for a comfortable and affordable stay in London:
* Mini kitchen (fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery & cutlery)
* Continental breakfast
* Fresh towels
* DAB radio & ipod docking station
* Tea, coffee, fresh milk
* Off street parking
If you stay with us for several days we will freshen your breakfast supplies during your stay. Laundry facilities also available. Dry cleaners with shirt pressing service close by.
If you are a young family, the sofa converts to a bed for up to 2 children for a small additional nightly cost of £10.
Like a hotel, but without the minibar.
The small print: if you stay with us for a week or more we provide a continental breakfast on arrival but ask you to look after your own groceries after that. That's why it's cheaper! If you stay with us for two weeks or more we offer a fortnightly clean and fresh linens. We'll ask you to let us know when would be convenient.

This is my first airbnb experience and my stay with Sarah and James is just perfect.
The place just correspond to the pictures in the listing. The place is cosy, tidy and clean. You will have a private and clean bathroom, your will also have your own fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster which I didn't expect before I arrive. The washing machine and laundry rack are available for free which is great for long term stay. There is also a nice bookshelf filled with books for you to borrow.
Sarah and James are great and friendly host, although I don't have much chance to talk to them, they provide more than I need.
The location is 10-12 mins walk from the rail station, you can also access to the city centre by bus (no 3) which is around 16 mins walk.
I enjoy my stay with Sarah and James very much and I would recommend anyone to stay with Sarah and James for short term and long term.
Clean and tidy with plenty of space. Lots of local info and a very helpful host.
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay, Sarah is really sweet and welcoming and ready to help. There was everything we needed so this can be recommended for an easy and inexpensive way to stay at Crystal Palace
Sarah is a great host and provided the perfect stay.
She has done everything to let me feel really welcome and at home. I can only recommend her to everyone!
The flat was lovely, snug, cozy, clean, and comfortable. It's basically your own private apartment, with your own bathroom, fridge, microwave, etc.
It just has such a nice warm vibe to it.
Thank you so much once again Sarah!
I arrived at Sarah's and was greeted promptly. She was very warm and accommodating. She showed me into the room and it was just like the pictures! As I was to work from the room for most of my stay it was a perfect size. The living space was fully equipped with all you could ask for and then some!
I really enjoyed having the entire downstairs to myself including my personal refrigerator and (email hidden)e bed was quite comfortable too! The train station was a quick 10 minute walk as was the local Sainsbury's and other eateries. I did try a great Thai restaurant further into town so it's well worth taking a short walk past the supermarket if given the chance.
All in all, I would highly recommend Sarah and her hubby's place as they were both great to chat with and were able to provide good advice on where to go in Crystal Palace!
My London stay with Sarah and James was very, very nice. They are great hosts and very helpful. The room was a combined bedroom/studio with a bathroom and little kitchen. It was on the first floor and was very private. The washing machine was available. I loved it that the train station and the bus station were close by and would take you anywhere you wanted to go in London. You will really enjoy this place!
It was lovely staying at Sarah's house. It's a very calm and nice neighboorhood, with lots of restaurants and shops.
The room is massive and has everything you can possibly need.
Sarah and James helped us a lot with everything we needed and it was lovely meeting them.
I loved staying there and highly recommend it!
The room is very nice! It is very clean and tidy. I enjoyed staying in Crystal Palace. Sarah and James are very good host. They are very kind and helpful!
Highly recommended room for people who enjoy quiet and comfortable environment.
Excellant accomodation near Crystal Palace station which now has a lift and a great cafe. It is very handy for the centre of London but feels as if you are in the country .Sarah left a very generous amount of food for breakfast and she had Marmite and our favourite jam. It was warm, private , very quiet, bright and comfortable. A plus point for us was the fact there was not the obligatory TV and we had fresh milk, coffee and butter not little cartons .We would highly recommend it. Crystal Palace itself is a great place with really good restaurants . Try the Venezuelan place opposite Sainsbury's. Great empanadas. There is a super wee museum about the Great exhibition in 1851 and its move to Crystal Palace. The park with the dinosaurs is fab and you can go to Norwood lake where there is Croydon sailing club. Everyone is very friendly and there is a small town feel about the place.
Brilliant private place to stay. You have the entire ground floor to yourself and it makes it feel like your own studio apartment. Nice lighting and touches like the continental breakfast and all the equipment you need to make tea/coffee etc anytime you want. Sarah is incredibly pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended.
