About this listing
This is a Hanok Korean Traditional Guest house.
We welcome you to a traditional Korean Hanok styled house as our family has been living here for the last three quarter of century. The house is located in the old part of Korea where all the touristic locations (Dongdaemun, Myungdong, City Hall, Namsan and Itaewon) are all within 15 minutes by subway line 1 & 2 (Shinseoldong Station).
If you are a traveller who wants to experience traditional Korean Hanok house as well as normal Korean lifestyle, this is a perfect place to stay. We also have large open air courtyard where you can enjoy after a long day of travel. We call this place Dal Byul (Moon & Star) because you could actually enjoy quiet rest on a large yard under the Moon and Star.

The room was very cosy and well furnished! It was a good experience staying at a traditional house and Jiyeong was extremely friendly and helpful. :)
Our hosts were very hospitable, courteous, and spoke fluent English. They helped us with any questions we had and with some of our travel arrangements, which was really above and beyond. The Hanok house was comfortable and in a great location, in an urban neighborhood near the subway and bus stations. I would definitely stay here again.
It was a great experience to stay in a Hanok, quiet and peaceful at night. Too bad we only stayed for 2 nights at this place. We would stay for a longer period if we have the chance next time. Ji Yeong and her husband, Paul are both very friendly and helpful and able to converse well in english.
Good and clean. But it's a little too far from the station. However it's walking distance to dongdaemun from the station. There is nice food around that area.
the room was a big surprise! The traditional Korean style was really friendly & the room was quite clean. We were given two T-money card by Ji Yeong, which is definitely a big help. I believe you will have a unforgettable experience if you choose to stay in this place
Hanok living has been one of my trip's highlights and I'm glad I did it at Ji Yeong's home. She has been a warm and hospitable host who welcomed me with fruits that help me cool down a little on day of arrival which was pretty hot. She also answered patiently all my pre-trip queries and advised me how to reach the airport in the fastest way to catch my early flight home.
Although the 10mins' walk from nearest sinseldong station wasn't a direct route but I was guided well by photos of key landmarks of each turn or intersection that Ji Yeong provided. The walk also gave me the chance to experience her quaint neighborhood and see for myself how Seoul living is like. I found myself missing home a little lesser. Thanks Ji Yeong and family!!
