This is a Hanok Korean Traditional Guest house.
We welcome you to a traditional Korean Hanok styled house as our family has been living here for the last three quarter of century. The house is located in the old part of Korea where all the touristic locations (Dongdaemun, Myungdong, City Hall, Namsan and Itaewon) are all within 15 minutes by subway line 1 & 2 (Shinseoldong Station).
If you are a traveller who wants to experience traditional Korean Hanok house as well as normal Korean lifestyle, this is a perfect place to stay. We also have large open air courtyard where you can enjoy after a long day of travel. We call this place Dal Byul (Moon & Star) because you could actually enjoy quiet rest on a large yard under the Moon and Star.

Ji Yeong is really nice and easy to communicate with. The house is fantastic and provides us a great experience of the Korean traditional house. She gave us very detailed information about how to get to their houses. The subway station is about 10 mins walk. In all, we enjoyed our stay in their house and would definitely recommend to anyone who travel to Seoul!
This was a great place to stay. My father wanted to stay in a hanok house and this was a great choice as hanok hotels can be rather pricey. The location was pretty easy to find, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood about 10 min from the subway station. It isn't as convenient as other places to visit some of the sights of Seoul but still convenient enough to travel via subway or bus to the major landmarks. Jiyoeng and her friendly daughter greeted us upon arrival and we were given a key to the front gate so that we can come and go as we please. Our mini house off the main house has a code to get in which made things easy. It is a very quiet neighborhood so it was easy to sleep well and comfortably. You have everything you need for an extended stay including a microwave, electric kettle, dishes and 2 refrigerators! A giant one which I don't know how they even got it in the room, and a a mini one. Everything was clean and comfortable, though you should make sure that there are 3 "bars" for the water heater otherwise your shower will be on the cooler side. Jiyeong was very responsive and had an answer to all my questions and concerns. Very welcoming to her home. I would definitely stay here again for the comfort and hospitality.
We stayed in the Hanok for 4 nights and it was a fantastic experience. The place is quiet and safe at night. It is accessible easily from the metro and is located to the famous sights of Seoul. We used the airport limousine from Incheon as we had some big luggages. The place is floor heated and so it is not cold. Paul, Jtiyeong and their daughter Ruby made you really feel welcomed and helped us in every way possible with their Korean hospitality.
lovely hanok home. we didnt mind that its a few blocks from the train station as the neighborhood was quiet and we loved the walk. Jiyeon was very accommodating as well as her daughter Ruby. The area was near police station, fire station and we felt very safe. it was also near coinwash, meatshop and marts so everything you need for cooking as well as doing laundry is just around the area. we loved the heated floor and the house :)
What a great end of my trip. Was very exciting to stay in a historic house where the family has lived in for generations. And despite it's rich history it had full amenities you would expect.
Also, it is's location is very convenient close both to the centre & easy to get to the airport.
But most importantly the hosts were very warm and caring.
Don't miss the chance to stay there!
Ji yeong and family are wonderful hosts! Their house is in a quiet neighborhood close to transportation. It was very easy to travel around Seoul. It's the perfect place to stay if you plan on travelling around Seoul since the house is centrally located.
The room itself is warm and cosy. All the essentials were provided and Ji Yeong and her husband are always willing to help out with anything. Besides that, the guest room itself is detached from the house which offers privacy.
Ji Yeong and her husband Paul were excellent hosts, going out of the way to lend jeweller's screwdrivers for me when my glasses came loose. Would've love to take up their offer of a courtyard BBQ, but our schedule didn't allow. The place is tranquil and set in an authentic neighbourhood, so if you're looking for a true Korean experience, you can't be wrong with this place.
