Beautiful new apartment, completely remodeled in 2013. This apartment is nestled on a property that is covered with mango trees, pines, palms & avocados. Centered in the midst of the hot spots in St. Pete and the beaches, check also Mi Casa, Su Casa.
It is a very nice apartment on a second floor,(please check also Mi Casa su Casa in the first floor), completely renovated, clean and comfortable. It has one queen size bed in the bedroom and one futon that turns into a full size bed in the living room. We live in the main house and can be reached very easily for any questions or if you need something. The fenced yard has lots of space to sit around and relax. You can use the hammocks and chairs that hang from the trees and light up the fire pit and make smores with the kids :). If you come in a big group, you could book the downstairs apartment too, please look for my other listing: Mi Casa su Casa.
Cable, wi fi internet, hammocks, fire pit, beach chairs and umbrella.
Interaction with Guests
You will have an independent access to the apartment so its very private but if you need something, we live in the main house and we would be very happy to assist you in every way we can. (I can communicate in English, Spanish and Italian)
Very quiet neighborhood and close to everything. Practically 5 minutes away from most important places like Gulfport and the Beaches, the mall at Tyrone, restaurants, Galleries and Museums. The Pinellas Trail is just 4 blocks from the apartment so, if you like to bike or run or just walk, this is perfect for you!
There is public transportation close by but not so frequent so the best way to move around is by car.
Other Things to Note
We love animals and we have a little Rat Terrier, her name is Lola. She is just a puppy and is very active and friendly. She doesn't bark so don't worry about noise. Please, see house rules for details about your dog.
Please no smoking inside the apartment or parties. No more than 4 guests in the apartment. We accept guests who want to bring a small dog (up to 25 pounds) but he-she has to be house trained please. No dogs allowed on the beds. Also, we charge a fee of $15.00 non refundable, for the dog (one time only) and a $25.00 deposit (refundable).
Had a GREAT experience staying at Pilar's place. It was safe, welcoming, clean and just lovely. Highly recommend!
Everything was great. Pilar's house and apartment are within walking distance of, at least, restaurants and the bus stop.
From the time I Pilar accepted, everything was very smooth. The place is more than I expected, very clean organized and perfect for me and my family of 4. Pilar was avalible if we needed any thing as she lives below. The apartment is close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Thanks Pilar.
This place is incredible. Four of us stayed in this cozy apartment. We were super close to the beach and to the downtown area. Parking was plentiful. We loved our morning walks to Starbucks and other local places. Pilar and her family were very kind. We wish we used the backyard more, but we loved our time exploring St. Petersburg.
Pilar greeted me in a timely manner, she is friendly and very accommodating. The apartment is exactly as it is described on the website quiet, comfortable and nestled in the trees. The neighborhood is peaceful and I enjoyed the convenience of walking to breakfast. Do yourself a favor when you visit St. Pete and stay at this great space.
Pilar's place was lovely. Inside it was very clean, pretty, and comfortable. We enjoyed the sitting room which has ac as well as the bedroom and she left snacks and coffee for us in the kitchen which has a large fridge. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Outside we loved laying in the hammocks. The bathroom is small with a one person only standing room to shower, toilet you put your feet on shower's edge to sit, and not a way to close sink bottom for shaving, though these things did not bother is much, and there wee towels and shampoo and a clothes iron, though I didn't find a hair dryer I probably could have asked to borrow one but idk. We had an interesting global Conversation with pilar who met us as we were leaving. She's very friendly and available on the property if you need help. It was easy to arrange to pick up keys. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Within 8-15 minutes of Gulfport with nice restaurants and st. Pete's beach by car. Pilar wrote down on the fridge some close stores and the diner round the corner is good too. We enjoyed it very much and would stay again.

Hi there! My name is Pilar, I am an artist and painter. I work locally as a real estate agent. I am originally from Ecuador and I love to visit new places and meet people. I have lived in different countries: Ecuador, USA (Cambridge,MD and Orlando) ,Mexico D.F., and Italy. When I first came to Saint Petersburg, I just fell in love with the city. The old houses, big old oak trees with Spanish moss, the beaches, Gulfport and the little restaurants and art shows, farmer markets and that Key West- like charm. Everybody is so relaxed and friendly!!! I had to move here!!! So, I found this cute little and very old house (1924) with a huge Oak in the front!! and have spent this last year remodeling it. My husband Terry and I live in the front house and the 2 apartments are in the back. We love to sail in Terry's boat and we would be so happy to have you as our guests!! :)
