Traveling is not a reward for working, it's homework for living. And when it begins in one of the best locations of Santa Barbara, in a sunny and happy Bungalow, it's an adventure that is sure to make you feel more alive than ever.
The porch was amazing... all of us could not stop talking about how lucky we were to have gotten this place. - Airbnb'r Shannon
Sunshine fills the living room. You pour a coffee and open the glass French doors to the front porch. The mountains kiss your eyes good morning, while silent and clear skies promise you a day of adventure.
Will you walk to the food and shopping and fun of State St, it is just four blocks? Or nine blocks up Laguna St to the beautiful lawns and gardens of The Mission for a picnic? Or just two blocks to the lawns of the Courthouse and a photo-op in the famous 360° view tower. Maybe the beach is calling? 50 cents on the StateSt shuttle and twelve blocks later, your toes are in the sand.
And this is just day one.
The Bungalow is a perfect choice for family and friends who are traveling to discover the true Santa Barbara life.
A front porch, complete with a cozy outdoor couch, opens up to the mountains, and is perfect for java in the morning and vino in the evening.
The large living room is a wall of glass French doors that let in the Santa Barbara Sunshine, while inside a family friendly large sectional sofa comforts all. And when it's time to eat, a teak table brings everyone together.
The two bedrooms are both large, complete with walk-in closets. The corner bedroom is wrapped with windows and offers a comfy king-sized sanctuary for your dreams, while the middle bedroom is spacious enough for a queen-sized bed and an always fun set of standard adult-sized bunk beds, with plenty of room between.
And the original Bungalow kitchen is perfect for those parties that always seem to end up in the kitchen.
Lastly, a clean clean clean bathroom with a full-sized tub means a day of adventure can finish with an evening bubble-bath. Sweet dreams. Tomorrow will be just as fun.
Interaction with Guests
The Bungalow owners are always 24/7 available as they live just around the corner.
The Bungalow District is pure Santa Barbara, just steps away from everything that makes Santa Barbara great.
Why drive, when the best part of State St is four blocks, the beautiful Mission is nine blocks, the dramatic Courthouse lawns are two blocks, the Granada Theater and Arlington Theater are four blocks, the famous Santa Barbara Bowl is five blocks, and an amazing and huge kid's playground is just three block.
Other Things to Note
As travel addicts, we know how important it is to have a great adventure, and will do everything we can to make sure you have a great Santa Barbara Adventure.
A couple rules.
No smoking. If you smoke cigarettes, this isn't a house to rent, and may cost you your deposit.
As well, no pets. Love them, but too much work to clean.
Also, pleassse no hard drugs. If you're mixing up a batch of meth in the sink or mainlining in the bushes, it's an instant 911 call.
And last, no crazyragerwakeupIreland parties. Too much wine is just fine, too much Metallica at 3am isn't, as this is a quiet peaceful wish-upon-a-star kinda neighborhood.
Please please respect these simple rules.

We loved our stay at the bungalow. The house was so charming, warm, & inviting! Our hosts made us feel so welcome by leaving champagne for our bachelorette and coming by to greet us at check-in. They were so helpful in answering my millions of questions pre-arrival & their recommendations were excellent! They went above & beyond by accommodating our earlier arrival and were available via text throughout our stay.
This was a truly wonderful place to stay. AB and Martini made us feel completely at home and the bungalow is a joy!
The listing was totally accurate, and the bungalow fit our vacation plans perfectly. Our hosts fulfilled all their minimal requirements and then went beyond by providing a set table, wine and chocolates and by suggesting activities in town. They replied quickly to all our questions. We felt more like personal guests than paying customers.
Our stay at the bungalow was great from beginning to end. Thanks to AB, Martini and Dragon and the neighborhood for the hospitality and grounds to enjoy the beauty of Santa Barbara.
Very comfortable accommodations from the welcome wine to the tea selection in the cupboard. Sizable home for gatherings, and a quick walk to downtown, the beautiful beachland and/or the Santa Barbara Bowl.
Thanks so much... will definitely come back.
Staying at the Bungalow was amazing! We rented the space as a group of friends in town for a wedding and chose it because of the value/proximity to the venue. It was on a nice quiet street, but you could walk just about anywhere. There was always street parking available within a half a block. We felt very welcome with the chocolates on the pillows and the bottle of wine on the table, and while we didn't run into the hosts until we were on our way out the last day, they made themselves ready to help should we have needed it. I would recommend it for anyone going to Santa Barbara, and I'd love to stay there again on my next visit!
This house was exactly what we wanted and expected! Such a cute house! AB & Martini were super welcoming, checked on us a few times throughout the weekend to see if we needed anything and even offered a late checkout at no extra fee. AB had several suggestions for us as far as restaurants and bars in the area and the location was PERFECT! Just a few blocks from State Street and all the restaurants and shops, a market and most importantly, Starbucks! :) Plenty of space for 8 girls visiting for a bachelorette weekend, the décor is adorable and the master bed and couches were very comfortable! We loved staying here for the weekend and will definitely remember this place when I return! Thanks so much for your beautiful bungalow for the weekend AB & Martini! :)
Beautiful home, and wonderful hosts! Martini, AB, and Dragon live on-site, and couldn't have been more welcoming. The bungalow was clean, quiet, and expansive... so much so that "bungalow" is probably only accurate in spirit, rather than square footage! The neighborhood is similarly beautiful, and its an easy walk to all the attractions of State street. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.
