Beautiful location 2 minutes from the beach. Not too close to town or the village but with a bus stop literally out front there's zero problem and not even a dollar for a bus ride up. The bathroom was slightly dirty when we arrived but a cleaning woman came 2-3 times during our 5 night stay and made sure to make everything nice and clean. The location was fantastic if you like wildlife. Toucans hanging out on our bedroom window. Monkeys jumping on our roof and putting on a show every morning Anita was very nice, helpful, and informative and even offered us rides to further beaches when she was on her way. Highly recommend!

Anita's place is a perfect spot to stay in Manuel Antonio. Super short walk to the beach, and an easy walk down into the town where there are some restaurants, etc. Also a short walk to the national park, which is worth a visit as well. Laid back environment, and a perfect little getaway.

Love this place! Location is perfect, super close to the beach and easy to get downtown Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Taxi drivers know where it is as well. Definitely recommend. Anita is a great host!

Anita is super helpful with information and options on how to get to her place as well as very accurate about how close she is to the public beach and Manuel Antonio National Park (which is amazing if you like decent hiking, amazing beaches (yes plural) and/or animals). The apartment was clean and simply but artfully decorated and had everything you needed for the kitchen basics. The room itself was the size it seemed in the picture and was sufficient but did have some dust and bug issues (although bugs are really something you need to get used to if you're coming to Costa Rica). The location is amazing and easy to find with a sign on the front of the building, so you quite literally will not miss it if you're looking. There will be animals that will come by and visit the trees outside the apartment which I was super excited about but didn't see too much of during my two night stay. Overall, I loved it here and can see why people would use this as a place to get away and enjoy the beach.

The apartment was perfectly located being very near to Manuel Antonio but also within a short distance of many good restaurants on the hill. Additionally the bus stop was right by the apartment so the main town was also very accessible. Brilliantly positioned, a stones throw away from a lovely spot on the beach. The spot that was not as busy as the Manuel Antonio area but surf boards etc available if you wish. The apartment itself was ideal for us and offered all the home comforts we wanted. Anita was fab. Very efficient and easy to contact prior to visit, and welcoming and helpful on arrival.

Amazing location, you can walk under a mile (~1,200m) to Manuel Antonio Park entrance, don't drive, the parking and congestion is awful. If you're going to the park for the beaches just stay at the beach the hotel is on, it's just as nice, the views and water are stunning. There's a handful of restaurants you can walk to as well. You share a two bedroom one bath apartment, we never spend much time in our hotels so this wasn't am issue, out housemates were great. Anita was quite helpful and attentive.

I discover Manuel Antonio 41 years ago after graduating the University of California in Berkeley. Don Melton and myself first did a research project in the National Park and adjoining beaches and decided to make Punta Quepos our home. Don was the local historian and gave educational talks for many groups including National Geografic. We were among the founders of the first Chamber of Tourism in Manue Antonio, founders of ASCONA (Quepos first conservation organization), and have continued to be active in civic and conservations groups to date. I am currently working with a group to establish an animal shelter here in our area. We worked for many years on the problem of drownings (see page 7). I ran my gift shop LA BUENA NOTA for many years and because of my extensive knowledge of Costa Rica, I can answer most questions about our area and some advice about other tourist destinations in Costa Rica.
