Army beach is a popular sunbathing spot, and one of the warmest and shallowest places to swim in the Yukon, which makes it great for kids. It is a bay with beige sand, surrounded by forest and scenic mountains. It is part of marsh lake and flows north into the iconic Yukon River.

In April and May it is a great place to spot Trumpeter and Tundra swans and very close to swan haven where you can spot hundreds of them at once.

In the winter months it is a quiet and serene environment, where you can walk into the glittering snow covered lake and feel totally at peace. There are also great trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. When the sun goes down it’s a perfect spot to sit around the fire, sip on some hot buttered rum or coco and watch the spectacular northern lights which aren’t dulled by city lights. They can be seen from mid August to mid April.
