There are many tea shops, restaurants, 2 fish and chip shops and a few pubs in the village. Please be aware that most of the shops and little tea shops close at 4.30 – 5 pm. Meals are available in the evening in most of the pubs and one or two restaurants in the village.
From the house you can walk to two of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds, Lower and Upper Slaughter. Harvey our very friendly and energetic Jack Russell would be delighted to show you some of the many scenic countryside walks that surround Bourton on the Water! We are both teachers. We have three daughters, the youngest now at university. Easy going and a very experienced host family. We have been hosting and teaching foreign students for almost 20 years. We love to travel and our two older daughters have lived abroad all their adult lives. Our grandchildren are trilingual!
