The space
If you are looking for a reasonably priced, rural, clean accommodation managed by an informative host who respects your need for privacy, The Bed in the Bog is your best option. This is a comfortable yurt in a quiet neighborhood, half way between the communities of Homer and Anchor Point.
Plenty of skiing/hiking trails in the neighborhood, with views of Mt. Redoubt volcano and area ponds, wildlife, spruce, and local swamp denizens. An art studio is within walking distance of the property.

Each bog yurt has its own private outhouse with wash basin and five-gallon water jug. Refills are available from the main house by request.

Ready for your day of fun in Homer? It's a 12-minute drive south, with gorgeous views along the way from Baycrest Hill. Time to fish the Anchor River? It's just two minutes from your yurt!

A cat and dog (a friendly black lab) live on the property--they can be contained by the host upon request, if preferred.

The house is no longer available ~ as of August 2020, The Bed in the Bog refers to a dry yurt, featuring a queen bed, small folding couch bed, small table, hutch and electric heater. Outhouse/cold water jug wash station only.
