This apartment is centrally located in historic and beautiful North Beach amongst cafes, restaurants, parks and historical sites. It's a short walk to Chinatown, Union Square, Fisherman’s Wharf and the Financial District.
The apartment is located on the second floor (walk up one flight of stairs), and has two permanent tenants. It's a private bedroom furnished with a full sized Ikea bed, dresser, armoire and a small table and chairs. It comes with its own lock and key. The room accommodates two adults and is 11 ft by 13 ft with a bay window facing onto the street.
Bed linens and an electric blanket are provided. A well equipped kitchen is available. There is a small shared bathroom, with hair dryer provided. No smoking, drugs or pets. Parking is not provided.
My roommate Greg works from home and therefore is quite helpful in greeting guests to let them in, getting them settled and giving them tips about the neighborhood.
The check-in time is 3 pm, but we are open to other times in case of earlier arrival (email me if so). Check -out at 11 am.
We look forward to meeting you and helping you enjoy your time in beautiful San Francisco!
No drugs, no rowdy behavior. Quite and respectful.
Irina was very nice to accommodate us very last minute since my other booking was cancelled. Greg, her roommate was very nice and flexible. Regarding the room, the location is great near the coit tower. The building is a bit old, so is the room especially the carpet. But for such a price in downtown SF it's still a good deal.
soft bed, spacious room, there are a beautiful square and a church in the neighbourhood, close to piers, chinatown, very good location for backpack travellers!
Irina and Greg were both lovely hosts. Although we didn't see Irina much, Greg was very happy to help with any questions we had.
The house is in an excellent location. Parking is quite difficult however there are parking lots a couple blocks away for $10 a day.
The room itself was really spacious. The wifi did drop out a few times in our room but works perfectly in the kitchen. The bathroom and kitchen were also very clean.
This property is in one of the oldest areas of San Francisco, and the neighborhood is ideal for a visit to the city! It is historical, architecturally interesting, and conveniently located. I walked almost everywhere downtown from here quite easily.
The room is large, clean, and quiet. Checking in , coming and going, and checking out were all very simple.
Of course, the above could be said of many properties in the area. However what truly separates this property is the guy who serves as host, Greg. He was welcoming, accommodating, and gracious. You can ask him about anything and he will help gladly. My only regret of the trip was that I was so busy I did not have time to sit and visit with Greg, Irina, and the other guests.
I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Awesome location. Room and bathroom was clean. It's priced about right. The bathroom was shared amongst 3-4 people at times, but I didn't have many access problems. Internet was ok at best, and not available one night.
Greg, the host, was great.
Greg was a wonderful host, he was waiting for us to arrive and gave us so much information about where we could visit and how to get around. He was always happy to have a chat and has some fantastic stories to tell if you take the time with him. We used the kitchen quite a bit in our 5 night stay and we never felt like we were intruding or getting in the way.
It is also in a great location in the Italian section of the neighbourhood with heaps to do and so easy to walk to union square or fisherman's wharf.
We would definitely recommend this place to stay and would love to stay here again if we make it back to San Fransisco.
