Location one block from Red&Brown line. Old place, as it is normal for the neiborhood of Liconln Park, maibe it could be better conserved and clean IMHO. Felt very safe. Didn't had the oportunity to meet Red personally but it was possible to comunicate through SMS. I came during a peak week and I think the price was throug-the-roof for the apartment, but it's fare to say that was not the apartment's fault. All in all it was acording to planned.

It's really hard to start to write a review when there's so many great things and nothing to complain about. First of all the communication with the host prior to arrival was great; she would answer to every message on a promt and accurate way. Everything was clearly outlined before arriving that there wasn't any need to reach her during our stay. The apartment is on a great location, very close to everything and super accessible by train and bus (you can pick the bus a few steps away from the property and a Red Line train station is just a couple of blocks away, which is great if you are going to party because it runs 24 hours). Although it is located on a neighborhood crowded by university students it is very calm and quiet. There is a gas station next to the apartment which is very convenient. Also there's many places to eat around and a couple of bars. The closest big grocery stores are not that public transport friendly but nothing than a bus and a 30 minute walk can't solve, we bought everything we needed at once so we didn't have to go back to the store since we were using public transport only. The place was clean and we had enough sheets, pillows and towels for the 6 people that stayed. There were enough cooking utensiles for our needs. The queen bedroom is not very spacious but it is okay for just sleeping. The rest of the property is very spacious. The extra key that was supposed to be on the kitchen table wasn't there however the guy in charge of the building maintenance was very nice and helpful; he got an extra key for us the next day and gave us his phone number for anything else we needed. The deck was beautiful!
Overall the place is very good, we had a great stay and I would recommend it to anyone.
Fantastic neighbourhood in Chicago! Wonderful apartment, perfect for three girlfriends to get away for a long weekend. So close to the metro, great restaurants, and other stores. Red was so helpful, always quick to get back to me and very accommodating. We would all stay here again for sure on our next trip back to this great city!
Red was very responsive and was a pleasure to interact with. Although I didn't get to meet her in person, her directions were very straight forward and the description on the site matched the unit. The location was fantastic and the amenities in the unit were sufficient.

About the Host, Red
Travel is fun and exciting but can be hard on the wallet. It doesn't have to be that way. Email if you have questions, especially if your requested dates are in the near term and I will do my best to work with you!
Having spent more time than I care to remember in sterile, uninviting hotel rooms, I was initially attracted to vacation rentals as refreshing, and often more affordable, alternatives. What I found were the same white walls and beige furniture or, even worse, cluttered rooms and Aunt Edna's donated dilapidated couch in the living room. Well, welcome to something different. Take a break from your busy schedule by relaxing in clean, inviting rental that that feels enough like home that you're immediately comfortable while being so special you'll look forward to your return. Many of my guests have been back 2 or 3 times, and some have found themselves venturing across the country to check out another Red Hot Vacation Rental.
My places are located in Chicago, Miami Beach and San Francisco. I've lived in all 3 cities and am happy to suggest hidden local gems or recommend the best nearby dry cleaner.
