The space
Aloha Falls is our attempt to show you and the world what the aloha spirit is all about. Aloha spirit is the embodiment of the love that joins all life on Earth! When you stay at Aloha Falls you will feel your body relax and your mind calm down as you enjoy the view and the sounds of the beautiful waterfall and the luscious tropical rain forest. It is our deepest desire to provide you with an authentic island sanctuary.

You may be inspired to explore into the wild, jungle terrain and go for a swim in the waterfall that is accessed right from the property. Current access is via our neighbors trail, which is easy to see when you are making your way down. There is very limited access to the waterfalls of this neighborhood, and Aloha Falls is one of the few.

Many guests at Aloha Falls report that they simply had no desire to leave the screened-in lanai overlooking the jungle and waterfall. Meals are enjoyed in the kitchen, which also features stunning views of nature that surrounds you. You can hear the sounds of waterfalls, jungle frogs, and warm tropical breezes in every room of the house. These sounds are sure to soothe your whole being and bring to the peace of Aloha. You may even schedule an on-site massage, which takes place in the lanai, surrounded by the tropical rainforest sounds.

Here is what you may expect as far as floor plan layout: Upstairs is it's own private unit with 2 bedrooms each with queen size high-quality memory foam beds; 2 full bathrooms with large walk-in showers; full kitchen with all cooking utensils that is open to the living room area and screened in lanai.

The lower unit, downstairs, the "Zen Den": contains it's own private entrance. The mother hen (my mom) of Aloha Falls resides here half of the year. We may also have an additional tenant(s) in the downstairs unit. The tenants in the downstairs unit have a separate entrance and all separate living areas. All the photos you see here are your space in the upper unit.

There is a/c in the main living area. Each room has a ceiling fan, we have plenty of space fans in the closets & a solar attic fan that draws heat out. Please keep in mind that our tropical Hawaiian paradise is hot and humid, temps. average in the mid 80s-low 90s. However, constant breezes and jungle cover tend to keep the atmosphere quite nice.

You can walk to downtown Hilo from Aloha Falls, but you will get the most out of your visit if you rent a car and explore the many attractions of the Big Island! The estimated walk time to all of downtown is 27 mins one-way. Local beaches are 1-5 miles in either direction (north or south).

We have decorated Aloha Falls with locally made furniture and feature local artwork. We have tried our best and we are always engaged in making the space as cozy and peaceful as possible! One of the most consistent feedback comments we receive is how comfortable our beds are. Please know that attention to the finest details have been made to ensure your comfort.

Guest access
We have installed key-less access at Aloha Falls. Once your reservation is confirmed we will send you the code.

Other things to note
We feel that Hilo is a hidden gem of the world. We ask that you do your best to be low impact on our precious, sacred land. Please recycle as much as possible and remember to be mindful of electricity.
