Bonnies place is incredible. The view is breathtaking. Unfortunately for her, they have built a building in front of halv the view, but in Cazita Azul, it doesn't really matter. We really enjoyed watching the sunset and the lighteningshow. She was so helpful with giving us tips for our trip, directions, driving us to the store the first day and showed us around. She is an amazing woman who has created a home with loving vibes. It is a place a bit away from everything, but still close enough that is doesn't take long to walk down. I would absolutely go back there.

My stay at Bonnie's was wonderful! Bonnie herself is an amazing host, very welcoming and accommodating. I also got a few chances to speak with her, her life story and art is soooo inspiring! (It motivated me to sign up for art classes:)) her home is beautiful, very traditional and open. The view is great! Definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get a bit of relief from the busy town but still close enough to walk to.

I really enjoyed the casita. Beautiful setting. There is construction across nearby at the moment, but it really was no issue.

Bonnie is a lovely and gracious hostess! And Casa Arriba, the home she has created is both inspiring and welcoming. My travel friend and I had an incredible experience in Sayulita and had fun getting to know Bonnie and the like-minded travelers who were also staying at Casa Arriba. It was magical! Can't wait to return.

We stayed in Casita Azul and while Sayulita is amazing, this place MADE the trip. The location was perfect for us: just beyond the chaos of town and above the North Beach side of Sayulita. It was gorgeous: sunset views I already miss, songbirds at dawn and dusk, incredible architectural details and art, beautiful places all over to sit and relax, and a calm, welcoming vibe for which Bonnie herself is very much responsible. Some of my favorite moments were just getting to chat with her about her life and experiences. She's an unbelievably gracious host and a rare gem of a human being who I feel lucky to have bumped into this life!

Hola! I am former public relations professional who worked with blue chip clients including Prince on his film, ¨Purple Rain¨, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, The President´s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, Stephen Wozniak´s rock and roll and computer extrvaganza, the Us Festival and many others for 30 years. While running my San Francisco firm, I renovated Ark de Triumph, an historic ark (1800s houseboat) in Sausalito, CA, and ran a bed and breakfast from part of it that was Ïnn of the Month in Travel & Leisure Magazine, featured in a half hour show on HGTV and in major travel and design media in the US. Casa Arriba is my next project and reflects my love of design, art and passion for architecture. According to a leading international architect, ¨There is nothing wrong with the design of this house¨.

I am now an artist and filmmaker and have taught art to over 100 ninos in Sayulita. My film, "Paraiso Antes Y Ahora" focuses on the history and original families of Sayulita. It's been shown numerous times in Sayulita and at the Sayulita Film Festival in 2014 and will be submitted to Latin Film Festivals in Mexico and the US. It's part of a mosaic mural project at Sayulita's Casa de la Cultura depicting the history of the pueblo, both of which are being sponsored by Costa Verde Collegio in Sayulita and the Sayulita Historical Project that captures the pueblo's history in photographs.

It would be remiss to live in Mexico without rescuing street dogs, two of whom win over guests at Casa Arriba, Chili is from the streets of Puerto Vallarta and Silver is from Lo de Marco, north of Sayulita. They are two of ten dogs who have come and sadly gone and they do an excellent job of keeping Casa Arriba safe for guests.

Mi casa es tu casa. Come with a sense of adventure, a love of beauty and peace, respect for your surroundings and a love of laughter and dogs. I'll do everything I can to help make your stay memorable.
