We are located in a small rural Balinese village where we greet the Balinese on a daily basis. The village does not have a through street and is located far enough off the main roads so that it has little traffic and is quiet. The village is surrounded by rice fields where you can take some leisurely walks and you will see ducks, chickens and cows.
There are four drivers in our village who can provide you with transportation to and from the airport, Ubud and around Bali. Airport pick up or drop off is Rp 300.000, one way to or from Ubud is Rp 70.000. Excursions around Bali are negotiable. Motor bikes can be rented for Rp 50.000 per day.

This location is fantastic! Gorgeous rooms, with all the amenities.Beautiful isolated place close to Ubud. Staff are very professional and the best food preparation. Prefect for peace and quiet . 10 out of 10.
A very special retreat nestled between rice fields and river in Bali's rural heart just 15 minutes from central Ubud. The service of a boutique hotel, but with so much more peace and privacy. The bungalow itself is filled with artworks and little touches that reflect owners' Tamarra & Paul's artfulness, taste and attention to detail. Wonderful staff on hand to serve a great variety of meals, including a delicious breakfast of fruits, young coconut, eggs, toast, coffee - best enjoyed in the riverside pavilion. It all feels so opulent - really incredible value. Indulge in a massage in the privacy of your semi-al fresco bathroom/dressing room, which comes complete with massage table. Truly captures the spirit of the island. Tamarra and Paul are wonderful hosts - happy to engage or leave you be. I'd recommend connecting with them though - very cool couple and natural raconteurs. Altogether, outstanding.
i cant wait to write this review.
the place is great and you will never forget!
Tamarra and Paul are retired people, but that is just means they fiinished their job, but their new life are just started since 10years ago in bali.
and now,via airbnb, they are making friends at home. without travelling even to ubud.
people are from the world bring different thoughts and info to them. we are like a book to them, but they are like a library.
they enjoy sharing their story and experience, and listening from you too.
their stuffs can cook the food better than a restaurant do, and they serve to your room.
the hardware of everything are all in good.conditon and well maintained.
there are 6 stuffs in the villa, so u can imagine everything are take care well. 1000sqm is like a mini botanical garden.
massager is professional, better than the one i had in kuta, having it in your own room is way better than u have it in an airconditioned room without window.
the only thing u need think about is transportation, we rent a motorbike which is 50,000/day. it is about 20mins for me slowly drive to ubud town.
this villa is located at the place, there are nothing around, far from all other houses in the village, which we love and i guess the owner do so.
make sure not to miss the dinner with tamarra and paul, or not it will all meansless to stay here.
BRILLIANT! I had zero clue what to expect but from the word go it was fantastic. Paul and Tamarra are incredible hosts. Our flight got in very early in the morning (2am!) and after offering to stay at the airport till a decent hour, they insisted and sent a driver to pick us up immediately! Gede and his team were outstanding. They arranged anything we wanted, from massages, volcano hikes and daily trips to Ubud. Meals were definitely a highlight, seated by a beautiful river on our own private gazebo. The dogs were my favourite, Zoe, Zachary and Zelda were hilarious, and on the last day one of them joined me in the bungalow for a nap. The pool was also a treat. Everything was so well planned and organised and I am very glad we found them for our first trip to Bali. A giant recommendation to everyone.
Paul was a very kind host and his staff were excellent, attentive and very helpful. They arranged food and transportation for us during our stay and accommodated any request we had. The space was breathtaking, very inspiring, tranquil, thoughtfully designed with attention to detail. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a beautiful quiet place to stay a little ways out of town. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed it on our private outdoor breakfast nook facing a little river creek. Sublime!
This was definitely our best stay in Bali! Thank you so much Tamarra, Paul, Gede and the rest of the very kind staff! Having breakfast between the river, rice fields and rainforest was the best start in the day we could imagine. We felt like home from the first moment at this beautiful and peaceful place and really enjoyed the common dinner with our heartwarming hosts. Nevertheless we had a lot of privacy if we wanted. We will come back as soon as possible. This is a promise!
Thank you for making our holiday so special. Cant wait to come back!

As in our last experience at Tamarra and Paul's residence, my partner and I were welcomed with open arms by all and found exactly the restorative tranquility we wanted. I actually stayed in the villa next door for the first two days of my visit and following the Bali Marathon. My body was a wreck, and the villa provide an ideal soft place to land and recuperate. Of course, Mbok Komang's expert massages did plenty to heal as well. We will absolutely be back!

Tamarra and Paul are a retired couple from the US. Tamarra is a photographer and writer who writes book reviews ( under the pen name - Uma Anyar ) for The Ubud Writers and Readers Festival column in The Bali Avertiser and film reviews for Inspired Bali magazine. She has published the book, Ogoh-Ogoh: Balinese Monsters about the humongus paper mache sculptures which are paraded and burned on the eve of Nyepi, the Balinese New Year. Tamarra is responsible for the wonderful decorations and design of our villa and the guest houses. Paul is a retired chemist who makes tasty wine and loves Bali's environment for hiking, bird watching and musing on the state of things. They are confirmed film addicts with no desire for rehabilitation. Tamarra and Paul love their adopted island and their three dogs and enjoy sharing their version of paradise with guests from all over the world.
