We rented Phil and Sheri's house to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary along with my my aunt and uncle. In total there were 6 of us. This is a beautiful house with a fantastic view out over Kona and the Pacific. The house was clean, roomy and comfortable with every needed amenity. We ate every breakfast and most dinners on the large lanai and utilized the BBQ extensively. The house is also in a very nice neighborhood. If you have a large party visiting Kailua-Kona you won't regret staying here. I hope we have the opportunity to do so again!
What a wonderful home! Such amazing views and a beautiful home. There was tons of space and the home was a wonderful place to relax. Phil and Sheri prepared the house so thoughtfully for our stay. It was stocked with things like a cooler, beach chairs, etc which were a nice treat for our beach adventures. The kitchen also had more than we needed in terms of cookware, dishes and things like cooking oil. Everything was well labeled and there were thoughtful touches like two clocks on the wall, one local time and one our home time. I would stay again here any day!!!! Thank you for a great home and experience!
The house is great, clean, spacious, amazing view. Good central location. We had a great time.
Me and my friends liked this house very much, great view, good space and great location, Everything needed for your vacation was available, such as daily house equipment. We very much recommend this home your vacation.
Phil and Sheri's home is beautiful! Such a great place to sit back and relax, and just look out at the amazing view. Loved how we could easily hit the beach, grab great food in town, and come back to the house so easily. We loved drinking wine the lanai, eating dinner out on the patio, just soaking up the gorgeous surroundings! Tons of space for 2 families or multiple couples to stretch out and get comfy.
Such a great experience! Phil was very helpful and they have a booklet in the house with great recommendations for everything from food to snorkeling spots.
This house is a great place to stay while being on Big Island. Its location is ideal, being close to everything in a quiet neighborhood.
It is really spacious, easily accommodating the 6 of us (5 adults and 1 kid), well organized and decorated. You will find everything you need (and even more) in the house; that helps you feel like at home while being on vacation.
The view from almost all the rooms is gorgeous, especially on a clear evening at sunset!
The hosts (Phil & Sheri) replied quickly to our messages prior our arrival. We didn't need to contact them during our stay but I am sure they would have replied as quickly.
If we come back on Big Island, we will definitely try to stay at this place again.
My mom, my cousin, our friend and I take an annual "ladies" trip and we stayed here for 1 week. Four females in one hotel room would never work so this house was a great option for us. There is plenty of room and we felt extremely comfortable. I am finding it hard to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay! The house is blocks away from the main road so getting in and out of town was cake! Also, the view of the sunset is phenomenal. Pictures can't do it justice! There were so many small personal touches that Phil & Sheri put in the house that made us feel at home. Aside from all the great decor, everything is easy to locate because there are cute labels everywhere. They even had 2 clocks in the living room showing the time in Kona and personalized to our time back home. I thought that was genius and I referred to it A LOT! All of the beds are comfy and the rooms are just the right size. If I ever had the chance to go back, I would feel at ease taking more people with me and knowing there would be plenty of room here. Every morning we would wake up, make breakfast and sit out on the lanai taking in the cool breeze off the water and sipping on our coffee. It made for such a relaxing stay. There are tons of supplies too! You will find towels, beach mats, a cooler, beach chairs, boogie boards, sunscreen and umbrellas! They even had bug repellent candles and plenty of gas for the grill! They think of everything! There were just a few things that took some getting used to. We live in Arizona where an air conditioner is a necessity but honestly, the ceiling fans provide sufficient air circulation and the vents throughout the house help move the cool air throughout. And then there's the geckos. There are a lot of them but they're harmless. I started naming them at one point. Overall it was the best vacation we've taken so far and I would like to attribute that to having such a wonderful place to stay! Thank you Phil & Sheri, your home is amazing!
