This is an ideal location for visitors. This is modest but nice and completely private studio condo in the Gold Coast located near Water Tower Place, the Hancock Tower, and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
It's 1/2 block from the public transportation stop ( trains and buses), 4 blocks from both Michigan Ave /Oak Beach for swimming, and the fabulous restaurants and nightlife of Rush Street.
It's in the heart of Chicago's most famous shopping district within easy walking distance to the lakefront trail, Navy Pier, and Oak and Ohio Street beaches. Occupancy by 2 people is comfortable, 3 is ok, and 4 is workable if you are good friends. I will provide an air mattress for an additional $25 if need it.

Tee was a great host. He was available via text and email for many questions we had.
The place was in Chicago's prime location. We were able to walk to pretty much everywhere we wanted to visit even when it was 7 degrees outside :) The place was small but cozy and the heather works wonderfully (a bit loud).
Host Tee was great, and the apartment was fantastic, very clean and in a great location close to lots of great restaurants and bars and an easy walk to the Miracle Mile and Michigan Avenue. As there was some late changes with our flight back to Australia due to poor weather, Tee was very accommodating which really helped us out. Also our stay was in January and the heating in the apartment was awesome which helped make our stay very comfortable. Overall a great experience and would definitely say again.
The apartment was ver clean and tidy and got tonnes of natural light through two big windows that also provided nice little views of Chicago. It was absolutely freezing while we were there yet we were nice and toasty in the apartment due to its big heater. However, it's better to put on another layer than leave it on at night due to the noise. Tee was easy to get in contact with and very helpful. The apartment is very close to the Magnificent Mile which has lots to see and do. It is also surrounded by places to eat. Take note that if you are wanting to do your washing you need to let Tee know before you get there as it requires the purchase and top up of a card which you can only get from the main office located somewhere else in Chicago. Overall a good stay.
Tee was very welcoming, flexible and kind. He was very clear in his description the apartment and instructions. My wife and I had a great weekend staying at his place.
I stayed at Tee's place for 3 nights. It was perfect in terms of what I needed while out there. Price is really fair for its location and condition....Apartment is bright, fairly modern nice and simple in its decor. Location was fine - Only a few blocks away from the beach. And it's about 15-20 min. Walk to The Hancock Center and that part of the city.
Communication on the other hand wasn't that great - felt like I was dealing with a machine or robot - I booked the place and had a few questions but only got a standardized email in return. 18 days prior to arrival I wrote Tee once again and never got a reply. Evening before arrival I wrote an email to let Tee know when I would arrive (again no reply). Upon arrival i texted to say I was In front of the building and he called me up fairly bitter and asked if I hadn't read his instructions - Really?'! I told him I did, but I must have misunderstood how he prefer to communicate cause I was told to only call or text via phone. Anyways overall good experience beside the "misunderstanding".

Chicago is a great city for families and a vacation home rental makes it easy to explore all that the second city has to offer. Or take the kids out to Navy Pier, which features amusement rides, shops and restaurants right on Lake Michigan. If you’re kids are animal lovers, visit the Great Ape House at the Lincoln Park Zoo, where admission is still free. Or see dinosaurs at The Field Museum of Natural History.
There's plenty to do in Chicago and a vacation rental in the city will put you within walking distance of most of the city's many attractions. Art lovers will enjoy the Art Institute of Chicago where they can browse the large collection of impressionist and post-impressionist paintings before heading to the newer Modern Wing. After, you’ll want to head over to nearby Millennium Park, which features public art and cultural events year-round. During the warmer months, find a spot on the sand at Oak Street Beach, a great place to people watch with views of downtown skyscrapers and Lake Michigan.
