This beautiful, 1650 square foot loft-like space is the entire second floor of a two story duplex. Conveniently located in Corktown, the oldest neighborhood in Detroit, which is a short walk, bike, or drive to all there is to experience in the heart of the city.

The space
The owner of the home is a long time resident of the neighborhood and has decorated the space with an eclectic collection of local art and relics from Detroit's past. The visual effect of the decor lends a historic feel to the modern space despite the fact that no original features of the house remain due to fire. The house was originally built in 1893 and suffered a fire in the 1990's which led to the rebuild and renovation that you can experience here today.

The space is all yours while you are here! Enjoy, relax in the soaking tub, have a movie night with our 3D TV and DVD collection or go out on the town! Feel free to sit on the porch and enjoy our neighborhood, where you can feel like you're in a small town, in the middle of the city.

Other things to note
I do have a washing/dryer combo unit in the master closet, which is my supply/storage closet and locked. It has a lock box and is available by arrangement for longer term stays.
