Watch the sun rise over the Ruby Mountains from your huge bedroom window! Ours is a modern single-story tiled house that serves as the heart of a working ranch. Summer birdsong, the coyote chorus, morning roosters all add music to our lives.

Our AirBnB has a private entrance and a locked door between it and the rest of the house. It is a part of our house, but you will have the space to yourself. It's a great launch pad for endless Ruby Mountain adventures.

The space
This is a beautiful custom house in a beautiful location. Expect a lot of tile and a mixture of antiques and well-broken in family furniture. The space consists of two bedrooms and a full bathroom, separated by a locked door from the rest of the house. There is no kitchen, but there is a mini-fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee maker in the suite.

One bedroom has a door to the outside and a huge picture window, the other is accessed through the first bedroom and is suitable for people who'd prefer to not rise with the sun. Both bedrooms feature queen beds, and each can be set up with a padded cot if needed for non-bed-sharers.

For those planning on dining here, we have an indoor table en-suite that seats four, as well as a patio table outside that seats six, perfect in the summer for AM coffee and evening beverages. There is a grill available if you'd like to create meals for yourself, as well as a microwave, mini-fridge, hot water kettle and coffee maker en-suite. We can provide a two-burner camp stove if you'd like. There are plates, cups and silverware in the suite, and we can provide grilling tools, spices, pots/pans if needed. We have a large greenhouse, fresh eggs, and a freezer full of beef and chicken we raise on the ranch if you'd like to shop for ingredients without leaving the property.

We are in Lamoille, right at the base of the Ruby Mountains with an incredible mountain view. We have a large, green backyard, chickens everywhere (very funny and very cute), a small flock of geese, and plenty of other critters around should critters be your thing.

The location makes our place the perfect base camp for the Rubies. In the summer you can ride your mountain bike from our house and get to quality single-track in a couple of miles, or can hit pavement with your road bike in less than a mile. The gravel grinding options around Lamoille are endless. There is excellent rock climbing, hiking and peak bagging close to our house, and we can give beta should you need it. In the winter there is stellar backcountry skiing and ice climbing available, conditions depending, and we can give you beta there, too.

There's plenty of hunting and fishing around here, geocaching, even a few ghost towns to explore. The outdoor options really are limited only by your imagination.

Guest access
We host one guest at a time. You will have the guest area to yourself.

The guest area has two bedrooms and a full bath, as well as limited kitchen capability (microwave, small fridge, coffee pot, hot water kettle, plates and silverware). The guest area is part of our house, and is separated from the rest of the house by a locked door.

In addition to the dedicated AirBnB space, you have unlimited use of our outside area (hot tub with deck, patio, backyard and bbq). Our washer and dryer are in the main part of the house, but they're available for you to use if we are home. It is entirely possible you'll run into one of us on the patio or outside working, but we do try and limit our use of the patio and hot tub when we have company.

Other things to note
We are 20 miles off of the freeway. Be very sure to follow the directions we'll send you, as we will send you down a well-maintained county road rather than a bumpy and sometimes unplowed private road. It is very dark here after sunset, so be sure and watch for the solar lights we've put out to help you find us.

Our chickens free-range and there are roosters. Expect to hear them crowing. We love it, you may not. We have earplugs if you're not a rooster-lover.

As this is a working ranch, there will be poop outside. We consider it a benefit as it fertilizes our fields, but it can be a bit... jarring... for our city friends! Just wanted to give a heads up.

Our dog Cody will bark at you. He considers himself the Chief of Ranch Security, and doesn't let anyone sneak up on us! He is a very friendly guy, and just loves our AirBnB guests. He will stop barking when you’re in the house... promise.

We live in an area with large custom homes on 10+ acre parcels. It's very quiet and there is a lot of wildlife here. Bird watchers will have a field day.

I am a fourth generation Lamoille native who loves where I live and what I do! My husband and I run a pasture-based ranch and raise exceptional grass finished beef, chickens, turkeys and eggs. We operate a bi-monthly farmer's market in the summer, too! When we're not crazy busy with that stuff, we love to hike, climb, mountain bike and ski in our gorgeous Ruby Mountains. We live a mile from the mouth of Lamoille Canyon and spend as much time as we can up there. We love this place and are happy to share our years of knowledge about adventuring here. We look forward to making new friends.
