I stayed for 6 nights at the Rose Cottage, and it was an all around great experience. Jackie and Armando were excellent hosts and had the cottage clean and stocked with goodies. The space was big and comfortable for me and my dog, and the windows provide so much natural light - it was a great place to work from on the road. The proximity to Victoria Gardens was a great bonus as well. I would stay again in an instant.
This is a lovely place to spend some time. We were there for a month and enjoyed the cottage, the weather, and our hosts. Jaclyn and Armand were attentive to our needs and requests as well as giving us privacy.
Jackie was most welcoming. She happened to be in her yard when we arrived, but she also left a personalized Welcome sign on the gate to our entrance and a handwritten, personal welcome note inside. It could not have been easier to find our way to the cottage. She provided us with a queen-size air mattress, as I had requested, in addition to the very comfortable queen-size regular bed. Both beds were made up with warm and comfortable comforters, and with plenty of pillows. Jackie left fresh fruit, which we were very happy to have, as well as milk, o.j., yogurt, bottled water, good bread for toast, butter & margarine, and good jam, along with a basket full of a variety of snacks and cereals. There is a hot plate, toaster, microwave, basic place settings, tea, coffee--all the essentials. I have no doubt that Jackie would also fulfill any request. The cottage was very clean, with useful shelves dividing the sitting area from the sleeping area.Jackie responded immediately to a request for extra bath linens. There is a large walk-in closet with plenty of room for hanging and folded clothes. Suggestions: Jackie has a nice pay laundry facility; it would be great to have access to detergent and (website hidden) is very basic and the DVDs there that we tried wouldn't play (our new one did); an updated system would be nice. A bedside lamp would have been very welcome. These are small quibbles. We felt very safe, comfortable, and welcome, in a very nice neighborhood w/ convenient access to freeways, shopping, and dining. Convenient to Ontario Intl. Airport too. We would happily recommend this residence to others and would stay again ourselves. It is not luxurious (and we did not expect it to be!), but it was perfect as a cozy, clean, convenient place to stay while visiting family and friends in the area.
The Rose Cottage is excellent! Before we arrived we were given very easy and detailed instructions complete with pictures on how to get into the cottage. There was a sign on the fence with our names on it when we arrived. A really cute and personal touch. Inside there was a note for us and a cottage manual of sorts. The cottage was stocked with fresh fruit, food, coffee, and toiletries. Jaclyn left her number and was very friendly and accommodating via text message. The views were amazing. We felt like we were in our own little house, it was truly wonderful for my little family. We hope to visit again! Location is excellent especially if you are planning to visit Autoclub Speedway!
We enjoyed staying in the rose cottage. We liked the privacy and the lovely garden. When we arrived, there were pastries, orange juice, milk and cereal waiting for us. This made us feel at home right away! Jackie was very nice and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Lovely stay in a clean great cottage; our son enjoyed the huge garden with all the opportunities to play. Thank you!
Host was very welcoming. Had goodies and sign waiting for us. We did not even have to ask for a playpen and they had it set up and ready to use. The cottage had everything we needed. The place was great, centrally located, and private. We are from the area and needed a place to stay while we closed escrow on our house. We enjoyed our stay.
Hello, My name is Jackie. I grew up in Virginia, and studied acting from the time I was 16 until the time I was 22. After that, I moved to Israel to live on a kibbutz. (commune). Good times, Good times,
Then I moved to Ft. Lauderdale Florida where I went to college and received my degree in theater, and now I have met my wonderful husband Armando and we live in California.
