We had a great stay in this room!! It was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We also loved the neighborhood - close to bars and restaurants, and also close to transportation to other neighborhoods. We felt safe walking around in the day and at night.
The hosts are also great - friendly and helpful! An awesome place to stay if you are coming to Rio!
Evandro and Leonardo were wonderful hosts and Santa Teresa is a perfect place from which to explore Rio. Evandro is generous and thoughtful - he even got me a cake on my birthday - and he had excellent recommendations for day trips, dinners and transport. He speaks good English and German too. We can't recommend him highly enough. Thank you Evandro. Dan + Una
We stayed with Evandro and Leandro for 5 nights as a start of our trip through Brazil. First of all, they are really lovely people. Very friendly, helpfull and relaxed. We felt at home right away. We stayed in the large room which is nicely decorated, the bed is comfy and you have your own little terrace with a great view over the city. The house is on a good location, between Santa Teresa and Lapa. If you like to enjoy some of the bohémien lifestyle of Santa Teresa, with It's lovely little bars and cobble stone streets, you only have to walk up the Hill for 10 minutes, quite easy. Lapa is also very close and has a more urban feel to it. We would highly recommend staying here. Evandro makes a great breakfast too!
The reservation was canceled 335 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We stayed with Evandro and Leonardo for 7 nights during Carnival. Their place is at walking distance of Lapa (if you are interested in night life), Santa Teresa, Center and the Sambodromo. The house is clean and cozy and the rooms are espacious. Their is only one bathroom, it is adequate but basic. Evandro is very helpful and he gave us a lot of tips about places to go, restaurants and transportation.
It’s hard to imagine that my 3-nights stay in Rio could have been any more pleasant. Evandro and Leandro turned out to be attentive and caring hosts with open minds and hearts and always seemed to be there exactly when you needed them. They shared their home and knowledge about the city and gave great tips what to see in such a short time.
The room was very quiet, comfortable and furnished with an astonishing touch of old grandezza and artwork, one was literally breathing the history of the house and the quarter. The bath and kitchen were very clean, fully equipped and functional, and Evandro served a fantastic breakfast with great coffee and the best papayas I ever had.
The area is reasonable safe if you follow the general precautions dictated by common sense. Public transport (bus) is close by and Santa Teresa and Lapa offer a lot of opportunities to get out for food and drinks. It’s the perfect place for anyone traveling who looks for a central and relaxing stay. I’ll make sure to visit Evandro and Leandro again.
Evandro was such a lovely host! He made us feel very much at home & took great care of us. What a beautiful way to be welcomed to Brazil. Highly recommend staying with Evandro & Leo!!
Evandro is a super guy. So warm, friendly, helpful, considerate.
Everything you want in a host. His house is perfect. The views of Rio are spectacular form his balcony. The room is comfortable, clean and quiet. highly recommend this accommodation.
We loved staying at Evandro and Leos place in wonderful Santa Teresa. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome and at home. The rooms were nice and clean and the terasse was wonderful with an awesome view. Evandro helped us with every stupid question we had and recommended great things to do in the area - thanks Evandro, you rock! We opted for the pick up service from the airport and it worked perfectly and was easy. The house is only a few minutes walk from Lapa and a mere 15 minute walk from the historical center. Buses are an easy and fast (though sometimes a bit too fast) way to get around and there's a bus stop only a few minutes away. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend these wonderful people. Thanks for a great stay!
