This is a "must stay" home for anybody travelling through Sheffield. Jill and Brian are lovely people who are perfect hosts in every way. Our room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Jill is a busy lady but still had breakfast prepared and layed out for us each day. Brian is a delight to chat with and displays genuine interest in his guests.
We stayed at the Harrison's wonderful home for a couple of nights over a weekend. We'd come up from London to attend a wedding. Both Jill and Brian were very welcoming. They made our stay comfortable and suggested places for us to visit on our route back home, one of them being the quaint town of Bakewell.
The description of the house is pretty fair. The main room is of a generous size. The smaller room has a wonderful view out to the garden and the hills beyond. Perfect for a small family like ours. When we arrived late on the Friday the heating was on, so we had a toasty bed to jump into.
The breakfast was taken in their beautiful kitchen looking out to the garden. A selection of cereals and bread. Simple but more than enough.
Plan to visit the Peak district next summer, will definitely contact the Harrison's again. Highly recommended.
Jill made us feel very welcome from the minute we arrived on a rainy afternoon in Sheffield with little time to get ready for a wedding nearby. Tea's and coffees were offered and an overview of the facilities. Whilst we got ready Brian kindly arranged for a taxi to pick us up to take us to the wedding reception.
The 2 bedrooms were lovely and clean and full of character, my daughter was delighted to have her own room with a beautiful view of their large garden and park. The rooms were peaceful too and we all slept well.
We only got a little time to know Jill and Brian but in the time we had we had a nice chat. The rooms were great value and I'd highly recommend you stay.
Jill and husband were perfect hosts! They were so kind, giving tips were to go, making breakfast every morning and be always ready for a little small talk. The house is old but it is a really typical Victorian house in a nice neighborhood. It's worth experiencing to live in such a house. Especially the chair in front of the window were you can look to the garden and the beautiful landscape is fabulous. The city center of Sheffield is about 7 minutes away as is the National Park. We had the complete upper floor for us with 2 rooms and a bathroom. A little cold but nicly decorated and very clean. I can highly recommend Jill and would surely stay again!
We were welcomed as though we were already friends.
Jill is very nice. The house is very clean and comfortable. The transportation is very convenient. We enjoyed our stay there.
