You will be staying in Kapiniskes, in southern Lithuania. This charming home is in the valley of the small village, by a small river. It's an ideal place for a tranquil vacation with family or friends where you will have complete privacy :)

This is a traditional Lithuanian homestead located in Kapiniškės village, Dzūkija National Park, on the bank of the Skroblaus stream. This is the ideal place for quiet holidays with your family or friends, where you will have complete privacy.

The space
This is a traditional Lithuanian house with a large kitchen (with a brick oven), three bedrooms, one bathroom, and living and dining areas.

Just outside the home are a sauna house, an events hall (with its own brick oven, tables and benches, large enough for entertaining 40 people), and a big garden with BBQ facilities. The peaceful Skroblus River runs just by our home -- it's great for taking a dip to cool down.

For those who like amenities – they are minimal, because it is a traditional Lithuanian house with a large kitchen connected to the living room, three bedrooms and one bathroom. There is a bread oven in the kitchen. In the homestead there is a cloon for tastings of Swedish meals, which can accommodate up to 40 people. Old apple trees grow next to the dwelling house, after which summer days you can enjoy the shade while listening to the bees buzzing. There is a place to bake a steak.

Our home is located in Dzūkija National Park, a beautiful nature preserve with pine forests, wetlands, and many rivers and lakes. You can explore it on foot or by bicycle via the park's multiple foothpaths and bike routes. If you enjoy bird-watching, see how many of the nearly 200 bird species you can spot. Help yourself to any berries and mushrooms you find along the way.

A beekeeping museum in Musteika village provides an interesting look into how locals used to collect honey from the pine trees many years ago. For those looking to connect with their spiritual side, the Merkinė pyramid - a unique triangular structure surrounded by a glass dome -- has become a popular attraction for its supposed natural powers.

The Ula River, one of the most beautiful rivers in Lithuania, runs through the park and is great for canoeing - let me know if you're interested in my affordable rentals (with transportation included)!

Just 25 km away from our home is Druskininkai, a town known for its mineral springs and relaxing spas. They're a great way to unwind after enjoying Druskininkai's water park, indoor skiing slope, art galleries, history museums, or One Adventure Park (filled with fun obstacles and challenges for people of all ages).

The homestead is located in the territory of Dzūkija National Park, which is famous for its wildness, swamps and numerous rivers. The walk and bicycle paths that lead through the country provide an opportunity to admire the park's nature. If you like bird watching, this is an ideal place to see different species of birds. In summer you can also enjoy berries and mushrooms picked in the forest.

In Dzūkija National Park, you can also visit the krill beekeeping museum, where a local guide will show you how many years ago the locals climbed the honey from the krill.
