We had a very comfortable stay at Bill's house. The location was great and the price very modest. My 15 month old was able to safely run around which was an added plus. Will definitely stay again.
This was a comfortable property very conveniently located. The house is quite old and possibly needs some fixing up in places. Overall it was relatively clean. As mentioned in one of the other reviews, without air conditioning, it can be quite hot in the summer.
Bill was a great host and provided us with lots of good suggestions for places to see/things to do in the area. A bike rental shop is within hiking distance (highly recommended).
Bill's place was quite comfortable during our stay. We'd come again. Also, Bill was flexible in our picking up the keys days in advance due to our hectic schedule.
Bill is very nice, responsive and accommodating. His house is just a few blocks down from Mississippi and Williams (?) - great coffee shops, restaurants, ice cream and a small brewery.
I would recommend this house for college students looking for a deal or people on a budget. Not recommended for families or those used to accommodations that are serviced by housekeepers. The lifestyle is different than some may be used to - not clean, no A/C, etc. Good for some people, not for others.
I am sorry that Erin didn’t enjoy her stay. I think that her expectations were a bit unreasonable. She showed up with five people—two more than I say the house accommodates. Meanwhile, almost no houses in Portland have air conditioning, and no one else has complained about the cleanliness of my home. Please see the glowing reviews below.
Bill was a great host. He was easy to deal with, left us alone, did what he said he would do, and provided exactly what was shown. It couldn't have been smoother or easier. I recommend staying here without reservation.
The house it close to Alberta street which unbeknownst to us was vibrant and had so much to offer. Great find.
I had a great time in Portland. It was really easy to get around from Bills house. Awesome Host!
The stay at inner northeast charmer in North East Portland was great. The house is large and comfortable. It was easy to get to all the different places we visited. Especially close to the Mississippi and Alberta Arts neighborhoods. The host was easily accessible and got back to us quickly whenever we had questions.
