About This Listing
Enjoy the comforts of home in a large studio apartment. Features a separate, fully-equipped galley kitchen, private bathroom, and comfortable queen bed. Floor beds and extra linens are available for an extra $5/person per night. Near BYU, UVU.
This is a brand-new, private studio apartment at the back of our newly-remodeled home. It features tile floors, a walk-out to a covered patio, gas log fireplace, and large-screen TV with DVD player. The modern galley kitchen is fully-equipped with microwave, fridge and range, plus dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. Enjoy all of the comforts of home, and save the expense of dining out every night.
Your stay will include complimentary weekly linen changeout.
If there are more than two members of your party we can provide comfortable, memory foam roll-out floor beds for only $10 more per night for each additional person.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a downstairs apartment with living spaces above and adjacent to it. You may hear some movement and plumbing sounds during the day and early evening, but we do our best to maintain quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
The apartment has a completely private entrance, separate from the main house, with secure and convenient keypad access. The back of the apartment opens onto a covered patio you may use during the summer months. (Our family also uses the patio at times, so some coordination would be required.)
Adjacent to the private bathroom is a clean utility room with ample space for storing luggage and hanging long garments.
Interaction with Guests
We live in the front part of the main house, which is separated from the apartment by a locked door. We will be available most of the time to answer questions and address any problems you may have. We love meeting new people, but understand if what you want is quiet and privacy.
The neighborhood is family-oriented and quiet, but still convenient to schools, recreation, restaurants, and shopping.
Our home was completely remodeled in 2013 and finished in the fall. The plan is to install the landscaping in 2014, so don't let the bare front yard in the photo worry you.
There are several bus routes within a few minutes' walking distance going to Orem and UVU, or toward Provo and BYU. If you are a bicycler, you will find beautiful bike paths just a couple of minutes away.
Other Things to Note
We are close to great recreational, sporting, and cultural venues. Here are just a few highlights, with driving times.
• Sundance Ski Resort (25 min)
• Provo Canyon - hiking, camping, fishing picnicking (15 min)
• Utah Lake - boating (15 min)
• Thanksgiving Point - gardens, shops, dinosaur
museum, world class golf course (20 min)
• Live Theater and Cultural Arts (too many to list)

As you see there is lots to do in Provo and Utah Valley. If you have any questions just ask us.
The apartment adjoins, through locked doors, both our house and another apartment, so we request that you observe quiet hours from 10 p.m. and 9 a.m.
This is a smoke-free property. We request that no alcohol be consumed on the premises.
The picture was very representative of the place. Updated place with some nice features. Unfortunately, we didn't notice that there were no coffee tables which are a necessity. We were unable to adjust the temperature although told we could just ask but this was inconvenient. Very minimum cable options so Netflix was essential. Fireplace is a nice feature. Blinds were helpful in keeping out the sun. Glad that there were two folding chairs to add to the 4 at the table. Lots of pillows and an extra blanket. Hard to use cable boxes since they sit so high on the mantel. This would be a great place for 1 or 2 people for a day or two but just a bit less for those who stay longer or have guests. Some cooking items helpful but we ended up eating out a lot. It appears that they are continuing to make improvements to the property. I wouldn't say that the location was in a bad neighborhood but it appeared to be the nicest house on the block.
My husband and I are Americans living in South Africa. We made a return trip to attend graduation at Brigham Young University for our son and daughter in law. Our flight was delayed and we arrived quite late (later than expected) but with Wendy's keypad entry we didn't feel as if we were a bother.
The listing describes this airbnb as "spacious" and it is! Even with all of our luggage we had lots of room to spread out and be comfortable. We can not emphasize how clean the space is--wonderfully clean! We felt like home away from home. The kitchen was stocked with the necessary cooking and dining supplies; our son went to the store for us and we had breakfast "in" every morning. We very much appreciated the room off of the bathroom with cabinets and drawers, a place to hang clothes, and an iron and ironing board.
The location makes going every where easy. We were on campus so often; it was wonderful to be only 5 minutes away! We enjoyed a graduation celebration luncheon in the mountains at The Foundry Grill at Sundance--under 20 minutes. Sunday morning found us at Temple Square in Salt Lake City attending "Music and the Spoken Word" with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. This airbnb is a great location to enjoy many places in Utah, not only Provo.
The only change that would have made this space even more delightful (for us) would have been a king sized bed (rather than a queen) as there is plenty of room. Other than that, lovely stay. When we return for our youngest son's graduation, we'll for sure book again. Thank you!
Second stay at Wendy's lovely studio. Still astounded by the value for the price. New, clean, well-decorated - could not ask for more. Drank my morning coffee in front of a gas-burning fireplace that turns on with the flick of a switch. This studio has every amenity.
This apartment was beautiful and very clean! Comfortable bed and nice but small bathroom. Wendy was easy to contact and responded very quickly. Great location - central to lots of eateries, shopping and entertainment. Would definitely recommend staying here! Price cannot be beat!
Wendy is a wonderful host. I've stayed in this studio before. It is a nice quiet place. Very spacious for 2 people! Great Internet (had to do lots of homework and a few classes which worked out great)! We couldn't figure out the TV though- ha ha not very high tech with TV. Bed was comfortable and the place was very clean! This is by far the best place to stay and the most affordable (way better than a hotel)!
