Wow – what a place!
To begin with, Pascal is such a pro. He explained to me everything about the apartment and the area as soon as I arrived at the apartment, answering all of my questions in advance. Obviously he knows what he is doing.
The apartment is located smack in the middle of Montorgueil St., one of the most attractive and interesting streets in Paris. Even though the apartment is right in the middle of (email hidden)ly street, there is no noise in the apartment since it is facing the back of the street. What a great arrangement!
The apartment itself was very clean and modern. It includes everything up to 2 travelers would need (fast WiFi, big bed, towels, sheets, pillows, full kitchen, big flat TV, etc.).
I would not hesitate to stay here again and I recommend this place to everyone visiting Paris.
Great location and the apt was very clean. There is a wide variety of resturants along the street and a wonderful bakery. this is within walking distance of most galleries and museums.
Host was very helpful with directions to get us to the Airport when we left Paris.
Highly recommended! This is a well decorated and very comfortable apartment in a wonderful location. Excellent value, especially in comparison to hotel prices nearby. Very convenient for transport links (30 mins from CDG by train). The apartment is warm, clean and very peaceful with almost no noise since it is further back from the busy Rue Montorgueil. It is quite private and very secure. There are many shops and cafes right on your doorstep! I will certainly stay here on my next visit to Paris. Alas, this time I was solo, but it is perfect for romance.... Thank you for a very pleasant stay!
We were moved to the other apartment around the corner without prior notice and were not able to go to the booked apartment for 2 days, by which time it was too difficult to move. We were disappointed that we were not in the apartment we had booked, and would not have booked the apartment we were moved to. Pascal was apologetic and offered us an apology gift and whilst we appreciated the gesture, it was an upsetting way to begin our holiday and expect to stay where we book.
GREAT location. Montergueil street is so charming - so many great cafes and stores nearby. it's always buzzing and has a great community atmosphere. The apartment felt safe and was very clean. The kettle didn't work and the shower was a tiny bit awkward but neither of those were huge problems. Not the most comfortable mattress or pillows in the world but I would definitely recommend this place. Pascal was lovely and helped us with our bags when he met us. Also free wifi which was a huge plus.
The apartment is very nice and got everything you need. Thank you
First of all - we didn't stay in this apartment, we were moved to their other apartment near Rue Montorgueil on Rue Saint Sauveur without being informed prior to our arrival. Pascal told us it was nicer, but we weren't able to judge.
Start with the positives - its in a fantastic location, 2 mins walk from the market street with cafes, grocers, butchers, cheese shops, patisseries, etc - we love to stay in this part of Paris. Its also close to Metro Reamur Sebastopol and a short walk from Chatelet Les Halles, so getting in/out of the city via both airports/ Gare du Nord is easy.
Negatives - old windows and doors which made the apartment very drafty and cold (I plugged them up with tissues/a towel under the door, the place got warm after that). The kitchen is hardly equipped - no sharp knives/cutting boards, no oil/salt to cook with, no dish soap or hand soap - you need these things to use a kitchen. There was also no soap in the bathroom - lucky there was toilet paper though. So if you stay here and plan on cooking, you'll need to buy a fair bit of basic stuff to get going. The bed - hilarious - it's in a tiny loft. It looks nice, but unless you enjoy banging your head on hard wooden beams, you will find yourself on the sofa bed like (website hidden) and internet didn't work at all - Pascal said there was a problem with the network that was out of his control, but the fact remains we didn't have wifi. Pascal bought us some chocolates to apologise however.
So- if you're there when its warm, and plan on never cooking (it is Paris after all), its a great place to stay.
Very kind and accommodating hosts. Great place to stay, good contact maintained at all times, thoroughly recommended.
