Luxury building, close to shopping, food and other fashion stores ... and transport line 8 "Ecole Militaire"? . An apartment (studio) ideal for a romantic getaway in the beautiful city of Paris. everything is there to fulfill your desires. The apartment is ideally located, you can start a visit to Paris by two of the most representative symbols of the capital: The Eiffel Tower and the Hotel des Invalides. you will realize very quickly walk to the Louvre, the Ile Saint Louis, Notre Dame, Saint Germain des Pre or in the marsh. These areas were mainly developed in the nineteenth century, on land untouched and conducive to the construction of imposing buildings. To the east of the Invalides, stand the National Assembly and many mansions now house embassies. This area also has two large green areas: The Champ de Mars and the Invalides.
Host was friendly enough, but never met her in person. As mentioned in other reviews, getting the key can be a strange and frustrating experience (you should go to 15 rue chavert, not 13). Without my wife's little hands, it would have been hard for me to grab the key from the mailbox...
Also frustrating is the internet. Don't expect to use the internet reliably. Sometimes we could log on, and sometimes (usually) not. (The signal strength was fine, but the log on service is reminiscent of "free wifi just login here" services (or viruses?) from 10 years ago.) Overall more trouble than it was worth! We didn't come to Paris to have free wifi, but since it was advertised it would be nice for it to be reliable.
Also the bathroom towels were a bit used (they could use a nice warm dryer and dryer sheet smell).
Despite those minuses, the location is great and the apartment is very nice. Great to have access to a kitchen, and the bed was comfy.
Great location! the main reason to love this place; The apartment is clean, the bathroom an ok size and there is a elevator to the 5th floor! Win! :) I slept very well, but my bf of 1m85 found the bed too short (its 19x140).. and the end is a hard wooden plank. So beware if you are on the tall side..
Overall a very good experience!
The Studio was a reasonable size - with decent storage. The bed was fine. The bathroom was a good size and the hairdryer was a welcome find. Hot water was plentiful. Location is great - very easy to get to and from. Kitchen is tiny! but why would you make your own food in Paris? It was fine for basics (hot drinks/heating things up) Fridge was useful. Didn't use the TV. Wifi was functional (it's better if you are near the window) and the wifi password could be used in public areas (which was very helpful). There are shops and pharmacies on the next street. Overall I'd say good value for money and we enjoyed our stay.
My husband and I truly enjoyed the 'Eiffel Tower' apartment. It was exactly as described. Although it was small (like all hotel rooms and apartments in Paris) there was plenty of room for the two of us. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was modern and had a nice size shower, and the small table and chairs for two were nice. The closet kitchen had everything we needed, a 2-burner stove top, sink, microwave, refrigerator, and cooking utensils. We made breakfast every morning and a couple of evening meals.
We worked with Angela and Pascal but were never able to connect to the internet. This was not a problem as all the cafes and restaurants have free WIFI.
The location was excellent. Just around the corner from the 'Ecole Militare' Metro stop. Within a two minute walk you could see the Eiffel Tower. Great market and restaurants on Rue Cler! And a wine shop on the street below.
We would definitely recommend this apartment for a couple or single person staying in Paris.
We were happy with the size of the appt. The bed was fine. The bathroom was a good size and the hairdryer was a plus. The location is excellent- very easy to get to and from. We would have been happier if dishwashing soap and clothes had been furnished. We purchased for our 3 day use and left the almost full bottle plus the clothes for the next renters. Kitchen is miniscule, but good enough for tea. coffee and heating things in the micro. Fridge was also useful. Table and chairs good size and comfortable. Some more attention to cleaning baseboard edges and dusting could have ben done. I think this will be rectified for the next people. The TV signal only worked one night, but we were not there to watch TV. Did not try Wi-Fi as we had no device.
All in all we had a good stay and it was value for the money. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Great place and location! Very close to the metro which can take you everywhere! It wasn't Angela who orchestrated everything but Pascal who was kind enough to meet us and show us everything once we arrived in Paris. He also offered to give us some pointers for restaurants and was easy to contact via phone or text. The place is perfect for one or two people and has a comfortable bed, small kitchen (we made some tea and there's a mini fridge to keep food cold), bathroom was good with a washer and the place is also close to rue cler which is great for food and wine! We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again!
Thank you again for a wonderful time in Paris and we hope to see you again!!
My wife and I just spent three nights at Angela and Pascal's place. Pascal met us at the apartment shortly after we had arrived; however he left a key in the mailbox in the next building over so we could access the suite prior to his arrival. Pascal was very accommodating and check out was a breeze. The place was quite small, but fine for a three night stay. The location couldn't be better, within a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower as described. The only issue we had was that we couldn't connect to the wifi. I am very tech savvy and tried all troubleshooting techniques. The network ID was only visible in the door way and the pass code would not connect. Also, like the other guest stated, the sheets and towels provided were pretty worn out. That being said the place was fine for a short stay in Paris for 2 people.
We were very disappointed about the host and the apartment. We did everything we were told to do - emailed our arrival time and location, txted her when we arrived at the train station and were waiting for a taxi. When we arrived, nobody was there to let us in as arranged. We txted her and received an instruction on how to find the key. Unfortunately, half the txt was missing - I think because it was sent through the Internet and was longer than the word limit. We had no idea how to find the key. We tried to phone her - went straight to voice mail box, then txted her to tell her we couldn't find the key. No reply! This was the biggest disappointment - she couldn't be bothered to give us a quick ring to tell us where to find the key - I know that costs a little bit of money but we expected that if we had a problem, we could contact the host and she should ring us. Her next txt was half an hour later, just asking if things were okay, which was useless. It was around 7pm and during this half hour we stood in the foyer next door wondering where we could find a hotel to stay that night. We tried asking the shopkeeper next door and asking a neighbour to be the interpreter and talk to the apartment keeper through the intercom. Both no luck. Finally a passing neighbour saw us and he knew where the key was. In a later email, her excuse was that we should txt her one hour before arriving at the apartment - but I don't think she was planning to meet us, anyway, as she had left the key for us to pick up ourselves. Other than this, the following are just normal accommodation pros and cons. Pros-good location, more spacious than a normal hotel. Cons - washing machine didn't work - resulted in soapy, very wet washing. We stayed 7 nights. The first few days we managed with a very poor wifi connection and the last 3 to 4 days had nothing. The bed was a fold up into the wall style and a bit short. I am 1.63m tall and my toes just reached the frame - my husband is taller, so he had more of a problem. The kitchen was pretty basic, without any bowels for your morning porridge. No dishwasher or freezer as advertised, just the ice box in the fridge. The host's husband did come to check us out - there is a €25 cleaning fee if you don't clean before you leave. Overall - this was our first rental apartment holiday accommodation and the experience has put us off using such accommodation in the future.
My wife and I stayed at this bachelor apartment from August 31 to September 4. The apartment was clean, as advertised, easy to find, easy to access, and in the BEST location. We loved it and would recommend and stay here again on our next visit to Paris. The location is great, you can walk everywhere. The apartment was the right size for two people.
The small studio was perfect for the 3 nights we had in Paris this August. Although the room has no view and also was hot as no air conditioning it was comfortable, clean and in a great location with easy access to the Metro, Eiffel Tower, The Invalides and the open top bus tours. Wifi access was a bit hit and miss and only worked in certain parts of the room. This is a great place to stay for a short break in Paris and would recommend it.
