This was my first experience with airbnb, and it couldn't be better. When my boyfriend and I arrived at Simon's apartment he wasn't home, but he sent us a video with instructions to open a lockbox which had the key inside. Our room and the bathroom were neat and clean and during all our stay he texted us to check if we were ok and if we were needing anything.
The subway was only two blocks away, we didn't have one single problem.
If I return to NY I'll certainly stay at his apartment again.
Thank you so much, Simon and Shane! :)
Simon was extremely accommodating to our changing needs-we had many problems with cancelled flights and delays, but never felt like we'd be left out for cold on the streets. The apartment was very clean, quiet and so BIG for NYC! It's about a half hour subway ride to get into Midtown, which was perfect. We didn't see Simon hardly at all, but he was easy to get in contact with via Airbnb, and his roommate Shane is friendly and very helpful.
I had the most wonderful experience :) Simon was such a lovely host who made sure I was comfortable in his home! The room was exactly as described I was very happy staying here. With out doubt I would recommend this apartment to stay in 100% :)
We had a wonderful stay with Simon and Shane. We felt us welcomed and apartment was very lovely. The bed is really comfy and you find everything you need in the apartment. It felt first that it's far away but with express train it's easy and quick access everywhere.
Big room by NYC standards and a comfy bed. Loved the artwork! 2 blocks from the subway and on 2 express lines so you can get downtown in around 30 minutes. Didn't have much interaction with the host as I was out all day, but the brief ones I did were friendly.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful and comfortable stay here! Simon and his roommate were both very helpful and pleasant! Room was spacious and the pictures posted resemble everything in the apartment. Location is great and is conveniently just a couple of blocks away from New York Presbyterian Hospital in case of an emergency.
Satisfy with having crossed ten days under Simon's roof, the whole apartment is maintained well. Simon is pleasant, sympatique and very available, always ready to help and to give recommendations. I was delighted to get acquainted. In more the apartment belongs to two block of trains (Express A and lines 1 and C), very practical to join the center of Manhattan.
Of passage in New York, I would return ceratainement at Simon.
