Extremely charming location and a cozy apartment made for a great vacation in Alsace. We were five people (myself, my partner, baby, and two friends) staying in the first floor apartment for 3 days during stork season and it was beautiful. The space is decorated with vintage details. Alsace is truly special, and the views from the apartment are wonderful plus there's an easy hiking trail that wraps around behind Maison Bellevue. I didn't meet Gabi, but Yoli was our hostess and very warm and inviting (she even gave us some local apple juice and left chocolate eggs at our door on Easter morning). I would love to return to the region! The apartment is a great spot outside of Colmar and also accessible to the Wine Route and its must-see villages. Yoli's husband, Alex, was also instrumental to our visit and provided great recommendations including a fantastic local restaurant in a nearby village. If you want to relax and chill out, Maison Bellevue is great, but if you're looking for a little more to do, Colmar is nearby. I'm dreaming of my next visit! :)
We met two families with a total of 9 persons (5 adults, 2 kids and 2 toddlers) and had a wonderful stay at Maison Bellevue between Christmas and New Year. The two flats were very spacious and perfect for a big gathering with a huge dining table in the living room providing enough space for a group our size to comfortably have meals together. The kitchen was cosy with a small table for the early birds to have their breakfast and both kitchen and living room were suffiently separated from other rooms to allow some to sleep in. The second floor flat is smaller and a bit more modern but the slightly more outdated style of the first floor flat suited our needs perfectly. We also had fun at the table football downstairs and the small ones loved the puzzles Gab brought up on the first day (and the adults happily sipped away on the wine she also brought).
The area is breathtaking with lovely walks starting literally outside the house and only dissapointment was that we weren't able to find a good hill for sledging right there in the mountains. Went up to a small ski resort but not suitable for young children. Munster is a nice little town, small enough to have an atmosphere and big enough to have a proper supermarket. The wine of the area is amazing (make sure to go for the gewurztraminer).
Gab turned out to be a wonderful host. Interesting, attentive to our needs and very helpful. She even came up for a drink and a chat on New Years eve and after we had left mailed us some shoes that we had left behind. We were so happy we went and did not let us put off by the initial confusion with the pricing of the place (an issue that Gab and Airbnb need to sort out) and the somewhat confusing description of the different flats. Despite this, I would not hesitate to warmly recommend other families to spend time at Maison Bellevue and hope to return with my family sometime in the future.
Thank you Soren for your very helpful review , It is the first time we had a problem with the pricing but i must say we normally host smaller group of people. I wrote to Airbnb about changing the currency but it does not seem to be possible .
For the sledge you should have just tried the meadow in front of the house that is were i used to do it when i was young.
But I am happy you had a good time as i really enjoyed meeting you and your extending family. Hope to see you again soon gabrielle
Gab was a very welcoming and friendly host. The flat fitted our needs perfectly (two adults and two children) and we loved the view over the beautiful Munster Valley from the balcony.
The flat was very well equipped. It is situated absolutely next to the forest/hills - and yet within five minutes walk from the City of Munster.
We would certainly love to go back some time
So much better than a hotel!!!!! My husband and I stayed in the "Love Nest" appartment in September and really enjoyed both the appartment and Munster. There was so much to explore. Gabrielle was helpful and spoke very good English. The surroundings offer a lot in terms of nature walks. We found several very nice trails in all of the surrounding villages as well. Munster valley and the Alsace offers so much charm... very tourist friendly without feeling busy. The appartment was great too.. I think she had more kitchen utensils than we have at home ;) I really prefered the convenience of renting a whole appartment than staying in a hotel. Oh, and we had a great view!!!!! Would definitely recommend this and will probably make a point to come back.
We had a great time Munster. Gab was great. She recommended the local pool, which my daughter loved. We stayed in the smallest apartment and had a weaker than needed internet connection, but Gab worked out a solution for us. She was also working on a permanent fix. We would stay here again.
We had the use of the family apartment in Gab's house. It was well set up with beautiful views from all sides.
Gab herself was most friendly and could speak good English.
We enjoyed Munster and the surrounding area.
We had a great time in our "lover's nest" apartment on the top floor of Maison Bellevue. We were able to cook and enjoy several meals out on our terrace and in the living room. This location is perfect for hikers and people heading out to explore the Alsace wine trail. We didn't have a car and so used the train and our feet for most of our exploration. The tourist information office is very close and chock full of useful info. We pondered renting bikes (Maison Bellevue is right on the bike trail), but ended up enjoying Munster, Turkheim, and Colmar without a need for further transportation.

My family had a hotel in Munster since 3 generations. Now we only rent apartments in our house.
We are easy going, discreet and used to have guests all our life.
My sister or myself are always happy to help and advise about the best restaurants or places to see.
