The historical Marheineke Food Hall offers German and biological specialities. At night many bars and clubs open their doors.

Most of the buildings in the neighbourhood date back to the years around the turn of the last century. Looking at the architecture enables one to imagine Berlin's atmosphere more than 100 years ago.

The neighbourhood offers green oasis like the Chamissoplatz with its small hidden park and dreamy corner cafe. The large Viktoria Park invites with old winding trees and it’s sparkling waterfall.

Many cultural spots can be discovered in the vicinity. • Very nice and bright little Apartment in the heart of Bergmann-Kiez next to a lot of restaurants, bars and shops selling food and art.
My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 days and found everything we needed. Everything was very clean and our host Julia was very friendly and gave us helpful information about the area! Comfy double bed and couch!
We'd love to visit this place again!!!

  • I had a great time in Berlin and in Julias apartment. It is located in a nice "kiez" with lots of cafes, shops so on. Because of the two subway lines I could reach many other districts like Mitte and Kreuzkölln easily. And Julia is a really nice contact, too. Hope to meet you again! :-)

  • Julia was very accessible, the apartment is very well located, clean and with all the conveniences needed to have a comfortable stay in Berlin. I highly recommend this place for the authentic berliner experience!

  • I stayed in the apartment for an entire month and would gladly recommend it to anyone coming to berlin. The great location adjacent in the beautiful Bergmann neigborhood adjacent to Bergmann Straße with its wealth of restaurant, the nearby Templehof park and pubs on Mehringdamm, leave little more to be desired. The rest of Berlin is also easily accessible via the nearby U-Bahn stations (Gneisenau and Mehringdamm).
The apartment itself had all that I needed: Wifi, fridge and and an equipped kitchen (although I did not do any cooking). The extra sofa bed was also instrumental when a friend visited me towards the end of my stay.
As for the hostess, Julia was kind, responsive and informative.
In summary, I highly recommend this apartment on all aspects.

  • Due to studies I stayed in Berlin for five months together with my girlfriend. We had the luck to rent Julia's apt. in a wonderful area in Kreuzberg surrounded with lots of great things to explore and with just a short walk to the nearest U-bahn as a great bonus. The apartment is very cozy and well equipped with all the necessary things you need to feel at home.

Julia is truly a warm and friendly person who always was helpful to us.

So if you planning to visit Berlin I truly recommend staying at Julia's place.

  • Staying at Julia's apartment was definitively a great choice. A quiet, clean, cozy and beautiful place in the center of Kreuzberg, just a few steps from the underground and even closer to a delicious sushi place: "Cube" at Zossener Str. 18. With a full equipped kitchen and bathroom you will have everything you need to feel like being at home as soon as you put your feet in the old parquet floor. Also Julia is always quick in her responses and really attentive, so if you are looking to stay around Kreuzberg, this is a must.

  • Julia is a wonderful host. She's easygoing and has a knack for making her guests feel at home. Requests for more pillows, blankets, etc. were met immediately, and she worked with our schedule. Unfortunately the wireless internet was broken when we arrived, but Julia went above and beyond to make sure we had a solution (she even bought an internet stick just for us!) and was extremely apologetic.
The bed is very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need, and the apartment is very quiet. The neighborhood can't be beat - U-Bahn directly around the corner and the "Bergmannkiez" has it all.

  • This apartment is a wonderful place — nice and cozy, full of light and is stuffed with all kinds of different goods. It is located in a very nice and lively place on Kreuzberg. It takes only 15 minutes by metro to the city center (though you can also reach it by foot if you feel adventurous).
Julia is a super friendly and kind-hearted host. She is helpful in every kind of situation.
It was an extreme pleasure to stay at this place and I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
P.S. Don't hesitate to visit Molinary on the corner of Riemannstraße — delicious italian place recommended by Julia :)

  • This was a wonderful apartment. We had a great time in Berlin and a lot of it was due to this place. It felt like home.

The apartment was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. The kichen was well stocked with all the tools needed to make wonderful meals. The location cannot be beat.

Julia was a great host. She was there when we arrived and even checked in with us during our stay.

I highly recommend renting this place. I know that on my next trip to Berlin I will be staying here again.

Thank you for the wonderful Home away from Home...

Before I moved to Berlin 5 years ago, I took every chance to travel to new places and I am still nourished by the wonderful experiences I made and the lovely people I met. I have multicultural roots and besides growing up in Germany, I have lived in the Netherlands, Japan and Bulgaria. I have worked in the contemporary art scene (with focus on Central and South Eastern Europe) for some time. Currently I spend most of my time with my MA programme in Intercultural Communication Studies. I am interested in contemporary arts, sustainability, health and nutrition, spritual growth, holistic perspectives, running, trekking, and more recently 5 rhythm dancing by Gabrielle Roth. I'm offering my apartment for anyone open minded and respectful who wants to experience Berlin and explore this very diverse city. I will try to meet you in person when you arrive to talk about all the details and get to know each other and help you getting orientation in the neighbourhood. You will have the whole apartment as your private space, but in case of any emergency you can contact me. My place is a LGBT friendly place.
