Came back and loved it again. A great house, very good location en the best hosts. What more do you need?
Next time we're in Mexico City we'll be back and I'm not only looking forward to meeting them again but also to all the good advice and great places to go to.
My wife and I stayed 4 days at Paco and Maria Jose house, and as all the other reviews, we can only say good things about it. Paco, Maria Jose and Yolanda (the housekeeper) will make you feel at home and would give you helpful advices about the city.
The house is beautiful (even more than it looks in the pictures) and it's very well located. Our room was spacious and luminous with a private bathroom, cable TV, and many other things. We went to DF after visiting Yucatan and we needed to do some laundry, Paco told us that we could do it the same night. So a few hours later we already had our clothes cleaned.
The breakfasts are top quality, very varied and with fresh fruits, juice, breads, etc.
If we return to Mexico City, we would definitely stay at their house again.
Paco&Maria were amazing. My friend and I had a wonderful time there in Mexico City. The house was a dream house, cozy, comfortable and full of stories. The neighborhood was safe and nice. The dogs were lovely! Paco&Maria gave us a lot of helpful advices. They printed the maps and showed us the route, making it so much safer and efficient for us to tour the city. We talked and shared our experience during the days. We had the best host ever!
This house is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures and Maria Jose and Paco are the most generous and thoughtful hosts. Breakfast is delicious and around a big table, providing an opportunity to chat with the occasional other house guests, who were all lovely and wonderful too. Maybe a great house just attracts great people? We were a 10-15 min walk from the subway--making it easy to get around the city. Our cozy room actually fit all 4 of us comfortably, a feat of good design - and the room was always clean and tidy when we got back from a day of sightseeing. You should definitely try to stay here!!! Can't recommend it enough.
I was fortunate enough to stay at Paco and Maria Jose's house for 5 nights. I had an amazing time and truly enjoyed my stay. The house is incredibly beautiful with an amazing living room, outdoor patio, bathroom, and bedroom. Plus, the house comes with 2 beautiful dogs.
Furthermore, the hosts were kind enough to lend me a cell phone and a metro card which became valuable assets during my stay here. Also, Yolanda, the housekeeper, was awesome. She made me a delicious breakfast with fresh coffee when I came down every morning from my bedroom.
Overall, the hosts were very accommodating and respectful. They were excellent resources in telling me what to do around the city. I highly recommend staying at their home.
We had a wonderful stay at the GREAT house. The neighborhood is lovely, some restaurants and street foods. It is close to a big park with many big and old trees where the Chapultepec Castle is located. It's about 10 minutes walk to several metro stations.
Paco and Maria Jose are very nice hosts. They are busy people during the week with their work. We were busy during our stay so we didn't get to talk to them too much or spent much time at the house, but the interaction we had was great. Yolanda who stays with them is wonderful, she prepares breakfast in the morning for us and clean up our bedroom every day; even washed our dirty laundry! The house is spacious with two lovely dogs.
It was just a wonderful stay; and if I go back, I will likely to stay with them again.
We stayed for 5 nights at Paco & María´s lovely home just last week. It was our first time in Mexico City and the location couldn´t of been more perfect. You could get a taxi just a few steps off their front door. A Metro Bus stop was also very close. Metro station was a bit further away (few blocks), but walking distance. Also near, a pharmacy and a convenience store. Every morning Yolanda gave us the most yummiest breakfast with fresh juice, fruit, toast, tea, coffee and a hot dish on ocassion. I hope you can try her "cordon blue chilaquiles" dish (our favorite). They have two lovely dogs who were just a delight to spend time with. Paco & María were so helpful with tips and recommendations to get around the city. They always approached us when they got home from work and asked us if everything was good, and made us feel like just at home.
As a side note...On our last day, Paco recommended a walking tour of downtown with a friend of his Gabriel from "Pata de Perro DF" (http://(email hidden)/) which turned out to be our favorite day. We visited colorful markets (Jamaica and San Angel I think) had amazing meals (tacos de carnitas, spanish tapas) and had an insight on the architecture of the city by visiting various historic buildings we would of not gone to if it weren't for Gabriel. Highly recommended!
It's a perfect bnb house, including good breakfast, beautiful room and nice people. When I told them that I want to see some different things about " the day of the dead". The owners just recommened a private tour to me. It's also an amazing experience for me before I going to Cuba.
I had a great time staying in the house of Maria Jose and Paco. The space was really big, and they kept it in order. It's also located in a very tranquil part of the city. Their housekeeper Yolanda was very helpful in getting some things done. My stay in Mexico City would not have been the same if I stayed elsewhere!
This is a great house in Mexico City! I stayed here for 4 nights in October and enjoyed my experience very much! Paco and Maria Jose were excellent hosts that have a beautiful home in a great neighborhood. Paco was well-organized and had great recommendations for me on my last few days in the city. Also, Yolanda, the housekeeper, was very helpful and had breakfast prepared each morning. Finally, if you love dogs this is a great stop as well. If I return to Mexico City, I would love to stay there again!
