Interaction with Guests
Although I do travel nationally for work (and internationally for fun :), I am currently home for the summer. As a Madison native and UW alumni, I am more than happy to show guests the ins and outs of the city! However, as a fellow frequent traveler, I know relaxing at the end of the day with simple peace and quiet can be just as rewarding.
Alexandra is a very attentive host! Very helpful wish any issues that may arise and responds right away! Her house is in a great location right on the lake and is Modernly furnished; very adorable. Didn't have the pleasure of meeting her in person, but would definitely stay with her again!
Great location and a lovely house. I stayed there for only one night when Alexandra was away. I found everything to be quite comfortable, clean and well organized. Alexandra left a binder of very helpful information so that I could find good restaurants and things to do... many within walking distance.
This was my second time staying with Alexandra, and it was just as good as the first time. Still a fantastic place, location, amenities, everything. I got to meet Alexandra and her pup this time around, too, and you can't meet anyone nicer or more helpful. If you're in Madison, stay at Alexandra's. You won't be let down.
The neighborhood was beautiful, right on the lake. However, We arrived very late to a freezing, pitch dark house and a room where the lamp was unplugged, which made the first 5 minutes rather confusing. We couldn't find the information regarding the thermostat, supposedly it was in the binder provided.
Overall the stay was fine, the room was very cold at night but we made do with the small space heater provided. The shower only had enough water for 1 shower in the morning, which was a bit frustrating for us as we didn't have any other options. We were there for only a night and it worked fine- for the price and struggles, we won't be returning.
Alexandra supplied me with straightforward instructions in advance to get to her property and boy what a gem I discovered upon arrival. Nestled right beside the Bay, I had a lovely few days stay in Alexandra's charming house. She had also compiled a brilliant and helpful to-do folder of things for tourists to do in Madison. All in all it was a fantastic stay. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone considering a trip to Wisconsin's state capitol in future.
My partner and I decided to travel from Vermont to Madison, WI for the Madison Marathon in November of 2014. We had a great time spending Friday afternoon through Sunday morning in Madison. Alexandra was out of town during our stay, however access to her home was incredibly easy and her house is immaculately clean. Despite not seeing Alexandra communication with her was easy and consistent leading up to our stay. It was really nice to feel like we had a house with full amenities to return to each day. Located in a very quiet neighborhood yet minutes from downtown her AirBnB was very affordable and a great value for the weekend. The only drawback was that it was unusually cold that weekend and taking a hot shower after marathoning was tough due to the house's low water pressure. All in all though we were very satisfied.
