The Mill House Retreat is set in a park like setting next to the Sugar River. Built in 1864, this stone grist mill has soaring 15ft ceilings, original fittings and luxurious finishes. You will be greeted by chesterfield sofas, a large bar area, and comfortable beds. Just minutes to bike trails, art galleries, live music, restaurants, and bars. Guests are welcome to have local friends over to enjoy the setting and reminisce. Madison, New Glarus and Epic are just minutes away.

The space
The second floor retreat is over 900 square feet and features the original gears and mill fittings from 1864. It has a custom 17 foot breakfast bar for all your entertaining, comfortable seating areas and beautiful architecture. Beautiful bike trails are just minutes away as is great food, gift shops and craft beers. There is a tap room on sight! We also have put in a 65" smart tv for your viewing pleasure. Feel free to stream what you like or enjoy Netflix on us! It is located above a charming vintage shop where you can enjoy some treasure hunting, wine tasting or cocktails. The space, though private, is above a functioning active business and during store hours some noise can be heard as there is no actual door to close, but a large stairwell that provides complete visual privacy. Please note, the steps to the mill are historical as is the mill, they are steep. Our store is generally does not open until 9am and is usually closed by 9pm. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for the entire day.

Other things to note
We have amazing food, art and music in Paoli. You can walk through town and enjoy little gift shops, wine and spirit tastings (and yes, that means whiskey, scotch, gin, vodka and more), well known artist and fly fishing on the Sugar River. We also have canoe and kayak trips available! On occasion, if we have to, we do pass through the living room space, this happens very rarely but much of the electrical is located on the empty 3rd floor. We make sure that we announce ourselves prior and try to avoid doing it if possible. During the warm weather months we do host weddings in our park and there is music. All music for events must end at 11pm. This is normally only on Saturday evenings during the wedding.
