Thank you very much and enjoy the apartment.
The apartment was exactly as Jess described it on the website and in the photos. Location is wonderful with a super short walk to Central Park and quick access to the subway system.
I absolutely recommend this location to anyone planning a trip to NYC. It is on my list for the next time I come down.
This was a great apartment in a GREAT location. We were extremely comfortable there and Jess was a great host! We would stay here again for sure.
Jess was very accommodating and pleasant do work with. The pictures accurately represented his place. It is small and best suited for one or two people. The apartment is wonderfully located on the upper west side very near to Central Park, subway, Museum of Natural History and more. It is a 4th floor walk up so you get your daily exercise going up and down the stairs. It was also nice to be able to pick up the key without having to organize schedules.. Nice.
Jess is the best host you could ask for. Upon booking the apartment, he was quick to answer any questions we had and provided great suggestions for where to eat and what to do in the neighbourhood.
My boyfriend and I didn't have the chance to meet Jess in person, but his wife Annie was very accommodating at check-in. She ran through the simple house rules with us and the even simpler check-out procedure. They are also VERY accommodating with check-out times. In the morning of our last day, our flight got cancelled and Jess graciously let us stay at the apartment until the flight situation was fixed. We only stayed a few hours after the agreed check-out time, but having the luxury to grab a bite to eat without carrying your luggage around was amazing.
The listing is exactly as it appears in pictures. It has everything you need and more: microwave, blow dryer, HD TV, an amazing shower and a super comfy loft bed. As mentioned in the other reviews, be prepared to climb 4 flights of stairs. You'll need the workout since there are so many good eats nearby.
The location of the apartment is the best feature. Central Park is less than a 5 minutes’ walk and 2 blocks north of the apartment takes you to the American Museum of Natural History. Both 72nd St station and 81st are in walking distance and they will take you anywhere you need to go in Manhattan. I'm a big fan of the movie You've Got Mail, so it was a dream come true to feel like we were living in Upper West Side. My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay in New York and will definitely book with Jess again.
Jess was a great host. Prior to our arrival he was quick to reply to any questions we had and provided us with detailed and clear instructions on how to get to the apartment. The apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the location was perfect with Central park right at the end of the steet. We definitely recommend this place and we would definitely stay here again. Thanks Jess!
Exactly what we were hoping for. The Neighborhood was super nice with endless food options and convenient subway stops.
Jess was great as a host, easy to talk to and helpful. The apartment is as seen in the pictures, safe and in a great neighborhood, with lots of places to eat and a subway station nearby. The only minor downside is the three flights of stairs to get to the apartment, as it is located on the fourth floor. The bathroom needs updating, but the shower makes up for it! Would stay there again.
