  • We first thought the place was located a bit far away from things, however once we got there we realized we could not be more wrong! Traveling times were reasonable to all locations and the quiet neighborhood was just what we were looking for. The studio is very clean and had absolutely everything that we needed to vacation. There were plenty of swimming, snorkle gear, all in perfect condition. Having access to bikes was our favorite amenity of this rental. Ted's bakery and the small supermarket were just a bike ride away, as well as Shark's cove. Kurt kept in touch with us making sure everything was ok and checking on us. We were pleasantly surprise that Kurt and his family use environmental friendly cleaning supplies to maintain his rental.
The studio is attached to Kurt's house, however we had complete privacy and never heard them.
We are definitely coming back! We could write on and on about the posivite experience we had!
Thank you Kurt for a wonderful place to stay!

  • We had a great stay! Close to the bus and steps away from the beach. Exactly what we needed.

  • My brother and me stayed for 4 Days on Oahu in Kurt's cosy little place and we enjoyed it a lot! It is near to the beach and you can use 2 bikes, Snorkeling gear and Body boards if you want to! Also the kitchen fetaures everything you need!
Small but a really nice place to stay for a couple of days, we had a lot of fun there. North Shore is the best!! Many thanks, Kurt

  • Loved our stay at Kurt’s loft. We had already been on the North Shore one other time, but this definitely was a perfect location. It was great to wake up early and get on the bike to see the waves in front of us in Velzyland, Backyars and Sunset. The house is very well located and offers excellent infrastructure. My husband and I had an amazing time at the Loft! We spent 9 nights in Kurt's apartment Enjoyed hosting and recommend eyes closed! All very new, clean and organized. Worth. We hope to return in 2016 and stay with you again!

  • We missed meeting Kurt since he was in the Mainland for the holidays but he was readily available by phone and left clear instructions on the place. We were so happy his place was still available over for our 6 day stay during Christmas week. His place is in a great location. Although it's a bit on the small side, it is cute and has everything one needs. We didn't need to use the A/C thanks to the two ceiling fans. We used the snorkel, fins and bodyboards. The outdoor shower with hot & cold water with shampoo, conditioner and bath gel was really nice. The full kitchen was nice too. I would be glad to stay here again.

  • I stayed with a friend at Kurt's in December 2013 for a week. The location of the house is perfect to explore the North Shore. The studio is nicely decorated, comfortable and very clean. You'll find all you need from kitchen gear to beach gear + some very tips on what to do and where to eat.
Kurt was really helpful with my "suitcase situation" (It stayed on the mainland) too.

  • Had a great stay in Kurt's little pad. Never actually met him, but the communication with him was fine. It's a well appointed studio with beautiful beach access at the end of the street and situated along the coast between sunset beach and turtle bay. Waimea bay was as gorgeous as ever and sharks cove never disappoints. Would definitely stay at Kurt's again next time I'm on the North Shore. Big Mahalo!

  • We spent 4 nights in Kurt's apartment and we loved it. It is really cozy, superclean and has everything we needed. The communication with Kurt was also great. I would really recommend this apartment.

  • My wife and I had a great stay at the Rhoney Ohana! Well located close to all the magnificent North Shore beaches. Very private and the A/C was appreciated as the weather was quite hot during our visit. Driveway is a little steep but got the hang of it quickly and posed no issue. The highlight of our trip was swimming with sea turtles in Shark's Cove--thanks to Kurt for providing the snorkel gear!! Close drive to some great local food: Ted's Bakery, Kahuku shrimp trucks, Cholo's Mexican, and Banzai Sushi were our favourites.

  • Kurt was a terrific host. The place is simple green livin' and has EVERYTHING you could possibly think of! From bikes with locks, to beach towels to guide books in the room, to lists of cool places etc. etc. We were blown away by how many things Kurt had thought of!
The place is right across the street from the best beach on the North Shore and just a hop skip and a jump from Ted's Bakery -best cinnamon rolls and coffee ever. Everything was so easy, stress free, just the way a vacation should be. Kurt left us alone and the privacy we did enjoy...but we knew he was around to help at any time. Much better to stay here than any silly hotel. Thank you!

Aloha! I have been on the north shore for about 13 years and moved from just outside Detroit, Michigan back in 1992. I live with my 7 year old son and wife from Venezuela who was originally born in the USA. I own and operate a Window Covering Business (shades, blinds, drapery) which we manufacture here locally. I body board when I have time and enjoy traveling the islands and having time to spend with my family. Some of my favorite things to do is body boarding, golfing with my son, eating shave Ice on hot day, and going to the farmers markets on Saturday at Sunset beach elementary school then in Haleiwa on Sunday.
