We had a lovely time staying at villa "Le Tamerici" with my family. The house was great and comfortable.
I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend this house by the sea.
Thanks Silvana and Amalia for warm welcome and helpfulness. Good luck for You!!!
The accommodations were charming and met our needs perfectly. The bed and bedding were very comfortable with an extra blanket if needed. The house was stocked with plenty of paper goods. I especially enjoyed sitting out on the porch with a glass of wine, watching the sun come up or go down. We were given suggestions of restaurants and places of interest near by which was most helpful. I would definiely recommend this to friends.
Simply amazing. The house was exactly as described, a nice mix of old with new renovations. The house is surprisingly cool even when it's hot out. Great breezes and cross-ventilation. But better than the house is Silvana. It's like having a concierge, she really made our trip special. Her vast knowledge of the area and of things to do helped - but even more so she scheduled and coordinated a bunch of activities such as cooking and pottery class, wine tastings, and food tours. Amalia, her sister, is her point person - she really took her time to explain the area and cooked a delicious Sicilian meal when we arrived (we had that scheduled too). I was even able to get an ice cream birthday cake out to the farm. Komar the farmer was nice too - we came with 2 kids ages 10 and 12 and they got to milk cows and feed chickens. The only thing I would say is there are mosquitoes at night, so bring spray and wipes. It got better once we closed all windows at sunset.
Molto grazie!! Great place to stay.
What a great place! Our compliments to Amalia for her warm welcome and all the explanations what to do in the area. Thanks to her we had a fantastic wine tasting in a local winery and went to a procession in Saint George in Ragusa.
The house in in a great location (even though you need a car!) right by the sea.
They have equipped the house very thoughtful and we cooked dinners with fresh fish and shrimps from the market.
Small villages are easy to reach by car and worth a visit.
Just around the corner there is a large natural reserve where you can hike and jogg in the morning.
Lost of cities like Noto, Modica, Siracusa, Vittoria, Plaza Armerina, Agrigento, Enna can be reached by car easily within maximum 2,5 hours. But you need a good map! Road signs can be confusing.
Thank you Silvana and Amalia for te wonderful atmosphere you have created in the house!
(You have the best shower ever!)
Our stay at La Tamerici was a very nice expierence. Well advised before traveling, Silvana had even arranged a B&B for us in Catania because of our very late arrival there. We ended up staying the night in Rome as the connecting flight was missed. On our arrival the next day we were welcomed by Silvana's brother and mother who were in the house and Silvana's sister Amalia who arrived a little later. All kinds of tips, where to go, and where to eat were discussed. Although we were staying a week there were enough options for the month.
We have really enjoyed our stay, the house is the nicest in the area, well thought through by Silvana's father. The views are beautiful, the patio pleasant to sit in the shade, and the roof to sunbathe. The vila has atmosphere and a working kitchen.
We can recommend La Tamerici, a nice place to stay and the sea is your pool !
