I ask that you please read my entire listing before booking, to make sure this is a good fit for you. Check in is 3pm. Please notify if arrival is after 10pm, before booking. We cannot accept check ins after 11pm, unless of course there is a flight delay... Check out time is 11am. We can possibly accommodate earlier or later, if requested. No smokers please. There is no smoking allowed in the building, or in front of the building. No more than two guests will fit in this room.

Please note that I am less likely to accept a reservation from someone who does not have a photograph that shows their face (without sunglasses), and some information of themselves on their profile, as well as at least four I.D, verifications, especially if you have no previous reviews and ratings.

You should not mind two flights of stairs.

Please note that I cannot have children staying here due to the fact that I do not have the window guards required by law for children to live here. Also, my studio in the adjacent room has many tools and sharp objects that a curious child could hurt themselves with.

Pam is easily the most accommodating host/person you could imagine! After a nightmare of travel issues on our day of arrival (thanks Hurricane Irma!) we got in VERY late (after midnight) Pam received us with no issues and with a smile, WOW! Throughout the trip Pam was easy to communicate with and very easy going. The room is as pictured and had everything you could want to benefit your stay (i.e. desk, chairs, clothes rack/hangers, refrigerator, ear plugs, and so on). The bed was very comfortable and was plenty big enough for my wife and I. There were clean towels available for our use every morning in a very clean and well-kept bathroom. Aside from being on a busy street (more a benefit than drawback) the location is pristine for walking around the lower part of Brooklyn and DUMBO. Additionally there are plenty of public transit options within a 5-10 minute walk. Would definitely stay here again, thanks Pam!

Pam was an incredibly friendly and thoughtful host, communication beforehand was very clear too. The room is comfortable, especially because of the AC but do expect some noise from the street (Pam does provide earplugs and a white noise machine). The breakfast (pastries, juice, coffee and tea) every morning was very convenient and delicious. The neighbourhood is great, with many nice bars, shops and restaurants nearby - but the best part is the convenient location, with many subway stops in walking distance. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay!

My stay with Pam was perfect for my needs. I spent my days out visiting with family and came home in the early evenings so I just needed a nice place to relax and go to sleep. My private room was a nice size compared to other places I looked at in this price range which were tiny and dark. It has a large window which lets in light with a tree out front but it also has a shade if you want privacy and/or darkness. The mattress was comfortable: super important to me. I was there for four nights so I did not have a ton of stuff with me. There was a place for all my things: a luggage rack; a rod to hang clothes; a small table and chair for my computer and miscellaneous items; a small face mirror; a bedside table and lamp. I really liked having the small fridge in my room stocked with oj and half and half. I made a great cup of French Roast coffer in the mornings. I shared the bathroom with Pam and this was not a problem. The bathroom is basic but everything works. The shower is a bathtub/shower combination and the shower pressure was actually quite good. You do need to be comfortable climbing in and out of the old-fashioned tub. I am older and I managed fine; but if you are not steady on your feet that might be a problem. While the building itself is old, it is clean. Pam has decorated her place nicely and if you like a place with personal touches and not just a plain box, then you will appreciate her apartment. Everything was clean and fresh. Pam herself is warm and friendly and very thoughtful and solicitous. I enjoyed meeting her and hope to return again. The one thing to keep in mind which Pam mentions in her listing, is that there is a fair amount of traffic noise. I am a New Yorker by birth so I did not mind it; in fact, I did not even bother to use the noise machine or the ear plugs she provides. But if you need a quiet place to sleep, this probably is not the place for you. On the positive side, it is a great location and within easy walking distance of anything that you could possibly want and the area is lively. I came back to the apartment by myself around 9PM and it always felt comfortable.

pamela was a wonderful host for my NY trip. she was very friendly and warm too. the room itself is a cozy sanctuary, which is perfect after a long day of running around brooklyn and nyc. pamela also provided a hot breakfast of pasteries every morning to go with your coffee and tea. if you're unfamiliar with the area, she's great with suggesting places to eat and visit as well. i'll definitely be coming back to stay with her in the future! thanks again. lots of love from sf xx

Pam is an incredible host and a really nice person. I immediately felt totally at home. Her place is super cute, very clean and in a very special building. The room was sunny and comfortable. The neighborhood is great, with tons of great restaurants, and very close to the train. I loved it, and will absolutely stay again. Was sad to leave! Thanks Pam!
