I loved staying at Apt 6- a wonderfully decorated little oasis! I used to live in this neighborhood when I was going to Columbia, so I was excited to find this gem in Harlem. Close to the subway, restaurants, bars, parks- Harlem continues to impress me with its resurgence. Amazing views of Central Park and Morningside Park, and I loved, loved, loved sitting/reading outside on the garden terrace. My room was perfect for my stay: quiet space, spacious closets, comfortable bed, working AC, and even little snacks to enjoy. Private bathroom felt like a spa- good water pressure, plenty of towels/toiletries, and yet another view of the park. Craig is such a lovely person- enjoyed our conversations in person and was always very prompt in handling any arrangements related to my stay. Met the owner, Michael, briefly before his trip- he has done a fabulous job in the garden and in decorating Apt 6. I'm looking forward to my return!
We had a wonderful stay with Craig (host) and Michael who owns and lives in the apartment. Both Craig and Michael were most helpful and kind.
The apartment is beautiful and the terrace garden is amazing!
The location is perfect – it is easy to catch the subway and the neighborhood is nice with good restaurants, convenience store and Central Park nearby. We definitely recommend this place.
A lovely space, beautifully decorated and drenched in light. Craig was a perfect host, and saw that I had everything I needed for my stay. The area is great, easily accessible, steps from Central Park, the subway (A and C), and conveniences (food and drugstore).
Craig is the ultimate host: responsive, warm, resourceful, flexible, and accommodating. Apartment 6 is a delight in every sense: comfortable, conveniently located, clean -- and aesthetically speaking, a treasure. This will be my top choice for a return stay in New York City.
This was my first time in America, but if I ever come back back again, I'm definitely staying in apartment 6. Both Craig and Micheal are very friendly and easy going. They definitely made me feel very comfortable. It was more of a home away from home feel. They gave me suggestions as to where I should go, where I could eat and how to get around places. My experience at Apartment 6 was really good and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
We had a wonderful 5 day stay at Apartment 6. Craig was the most helpful and always available by phone. Michael owns and lives in the apartment. He was very kind and keeps an incredibly clean and beautiful home. The garden was amazing! The location was perfect and easy to catch the C train downtown. The neighborhood was just what I wanted with bars and restaurants right outside the building. Central Park was just steps away. Thank you Michael and Craig for making a busy business trip a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Apartment 6.

About the Host, Craig
Hi, I'm Craig. My favorite color is yellow! I grew up in Atlanta and moved to NYC in 2009. In 2012, I moved to Seoul for a year and now I am back in the city that I love. I keep a positive attitude with me and really enjoy life. We only get one shot so I like trying as many things as I can. I consider myself as easy going as they come. My personal goal is to meet at least one new person a day. It makes life far more interesting.
