I'd recommend Apartment 6, and Craig, very highly. He was flexible about our arrival time, helped us find a nearby garage (two minutes by foot), and offered to help with anything we might have needed. The apartment is scrupulously clean, beautifully designed, and has a lovely garden deck. Very peaceful for the middle of the city.
Great neighborhood, too. Lots of new restaurants (we ate at Melba's, up the block -- soul food with heart), and five minutes from both Central Park and Morningside Heights. Might not be the best place for small children (watch out, flokati rug!), but we had no reservations.
I had a very, very last minute booking that Craig accepted. The apartment was easy to get to from the Cathedral Pkwy station (only a couple blocks) and super nice! I loved the greenhouse/garden, even though I didn't spend much time there. The room was perfectly decorated and had everything I needed. Minimalist and with plenty of blankets...just the way I like it. I felt very comfortable and Craig was ever the helpful host by providing culinary options nearby, showing me around, and texting to make certain everything was okay. He made himself very accessible and I can't wait to visit again. Definitely a preferred Harlem hangout if you want to check out the uptown scene or if you're visiting the Universities up there. Columbia is a nice walk up the hill. Central Park is two blocks away. And most of the cool Harlem restaurants are walking distance.
Nice appartment - location is super between central and morningside parc. The appartment itself is spacious with separate bathrooms. The only downside is the guestroom itself: small room that is simply too crowded with objects that have no real added value for guests. The bed as well is only 140cm wide and too small for two persons. Staying >3nights becomes annoying... Terras is great + The fact you can leave door open, just get some air: very nice.
In general good value for your money, with just couple of modifications it could become even better.
A great apartment in a good location - beautifully decorated, near to the subway and with lots of excellent local restaurants. Michael and Craig are brilliant hosts and really made us feel at home. Definitely recommended.

Hi, I'm Craig. My favorite color is yellow! I grew up in Atlanta and moved to NYC in 2009. In 2012, I moved to Seoul for a year and now I am back in the city that I love. I keep a positive attitude with me and really enjoy life. We only get one shot so I like trying as many things as I can. I consider myself as easy going as they come. My personal goal is to meet at least one new person a day. It makes life far more interesting.
