The Space

The main house has a full kitchen, dining area, living room, screened porch, first floor bedroom w/queen bed, and two loft rooms, each with a single bed. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet.

If your group is larger than four people, we have a "bunkhouse" across the yard from the main house for an additional fee. This really cute building has one set of bunk beds, and a loft space above. All the bunkhouse mattresses are the air type.

All the floors are hand-painted, some with stencils or stripes.

Every room has wonderful water views.

The camp is surrounded by woods, but has a sunny, level yard. Perfect for badminton! The pond is small and quiet - motorized boats are limited to slow putt-putt types. The water is great for swimming, and a favorite of kayakers & canoeists.

A few days here means enjoying the call of loons, croaking bullfrogs, the whir of hummingbirds, privacy, and fun in the water.

New this year, we've added electrical outlets in the two loft rooms. Next up, the bunkhouse will get power. (PS it already gets WiFi and has a battery-operated lamp).

Guests may use the dock, kayak and canoe.

We have a 2-1/2 acre lot, and the surrounding woods and views make it feel like we practically own the pond. Most of the other camps on the pond are also secluded and quiet.

Some of the "quaint" aspects of camp are:

There is no land telephone line. There is, however, WiFi, and we'll provide you with the password.

The kitchen ceiling is about 6'-3" high. The other ceilings are of average height.

Bugs, such as mosquitos, come out in the evening, but are generally manageable with bug spray --- hey, you're out in the Maine woods - what do you expect! :~)

Our water supply at the house comes from a small well, so we ask guests to be mindful of their water use in the kitchen and bathroom.

Comments from a recent guest:
"My family and I stayed at this camp during the past summer (2013). The location on the lake is perfect, with a shallow sandy bottom where the kids had a blast. The dock was great for launching the canoes and kayaks. The lake itself was very peaceful and serene with wonderful views. There were numerous hiking trails within a few minutes drive of the camp. The house itself is quaint, very clean, and has a great screened in porch looking out on the lake. There is one bathroom which has a shower, toilet, and a sink. All were very clean. Upstairs are two bedrooms with large windows also looking out on the lake. Great view to wake up to. There is a general store as well as a local restaurant about a 5 min drive just up the road where you can get some essentials or grab a rather tasty meal. Overall our experience was absolutely wonderful and we are looking forward to another visit." -- Pete

House Rules

Please enjoy everything the camp has to offer, and then clean up after yourself. When we return to camp, we expect to find it in good condition; please sweep the floors and clean the dishes before you leave.
Also, our friendly neighbors rely on us to be respectful of the quiet nature of the area. Feel free to have fun, but nothing raucous, especially after dark.
