This 57-km route crosses three regions and twelve towns, following the valleys of the Fluvià, Brugent and Ter rivers. The Narrow-Gauge Railway Route descends smoothly from Olot (440 m) to Girona (70 m). Its highest point is at Coll d´en Bas, which is a pass situated 558 metres above sea level. We felt very fortunate to have found this apartment in Girona. It really is a luxurious apartment on numerous counts. Designed by a famous architect (Rafael Maso) and located in the historic jewish quarter (the Museum of Jewish History is literally next door); the location could not have been better. The apartment itself is very spacious, and filled with beautiful antiques, artwork, chandeliers, etc. A fabulous place that also manages to have a very livable and homey feel. The kitchen and eating area were well equipped and spacious. The two main bedrooms had plenty of closets, drawers, and surfaces. The primary bathroom was a good size and with plenty of hooks for towels and lots of hot water. There is also a second toilet room which is handy but there is no sink. The living room and dining room at the front of the apartment were very comfortable places to relax with nice couches and chairs. A small balcony off the living room overlooked the street and was very charming. This is a beautiful apartment where the sound of church bells lulled us to sleep every night.
Fernando and his assistant Imma were relaxed and accomodating hosts. They responded quickly to our inquiries and made us feel very welcome. We ran into a small glitch on our departure day with our transportation to our next accomodation. Fernando immediately advised us that we were welcome to stay at the apartment until late in the afternoon when our driver finally arrived. Imma came by to collect the keys and gave us all big hugs goodbye. We can recommend this apartment without reservation to anyone looking for a place in Girona.
We had a great time in Girona thanks to this apartment. The apartment is cozy, spacious with three bedrooms, nicely designed and furnished with antieks, spanish styled furnitures. If you like to experience real spanish style of living from this mid-century town, this apartment will bring you lot of satisfaction. We chose this location on purpose as it is located in the center of the old part of Girona (15 min from train station by taxi around 8 euro) with easy access to all the areas and beautiful street view. Number of local design shops and recommended restaurants were spreaded around the street downstairs that made it easy to shop and eat even after a long day sightseeing. The lady who welcomed us is very kind and helpful.
My families and I really missed your place and Girona after returned. We strongly recommend this place for families and couples.
This was a very unreconstructed apartment and appropriately so... The outside of the building is completely unchanged and in keeping with the the historical surroundings. The interior is equally charming and timeless.
Het appartement was een (website hidden) dame die ons tot in het appartement bracht ,was zeer vriendelijk en tot goede raad (website hidden) was een leuk welkomspakket.Alle huishoudgerief was aanwezig!!!
Fernando's assistant Imma met us promptly, helped us with our car and bags, showed us everything in the flat, and gave us a tourism rundown of Girona. The flat was very well kept, exactly as described, and we immediately felt at home and very comfortable. In fact the flat was interesting in and of itself, and greatly heightened our Girona experience. I should add that it was well heated (so important in the winter!) and that we wanted for nothing. Viva Airbnb! Thank you Fernando and Imma.
This is the first time we have used Airbnb and we were delighted with the accommodation. It is a lovely flat right in the middle of the old part of Girona. It added to the ambience of our holiday. We were made very welcome when we arrived, even though we were a little later than expected. The flat had everything we could wish for and felt very cosy. We wished we could have stayed longer.
