Our home is quiet, private and a great place to relax. Room for one or two people, your room has nice views, and off street parking is available. We're located at the start of the peninsula, just five minutes drive from central Dunedin. See you soon!
We enjoy hosting fun worldly travellers in our wonderful home.
Our home is situated 10 mins drive from the city centre (i.e. close but not too close!) and directly at the gateway to the Otago Peninsula, famous for Larnach's Castle, the Albatross colony, penguins, seals, and one of the top 10 cycle roads in the world (according to Lonely Planet!).
Staying with us offers you great views, a comfortable room, outdoor spa (otherwise known as a hot tub or jacuzzi), relaxed atmosphere, great kitchen, friendly local advice, and most importantly a peaceful nights sleep.

We're well travelled - and enjoy outdoorsy stuff, music, hosting, meeting new people, learning new things, gardening, playing sport, reading, brewing beer, eating nice food and drinking nice wine!
Dunedin is both under-rated and awesome. Whether you're into culture, architecture, outdoor activities, wildlife, history, a fun nightlife, or a quiet relaxing getaway, Dunedin has it all. I'd say more, but I don't want to give it all away - you've gotta come check it out for yourself!!
If you're travelling around the South Island, Dunedin is 5 hours from Christchurch, 3 hours from Queenstown, and 2 hours from Invercargill. If you're arriving from (or heading to) the Dunedin airport, it's an easy 30 minute drive to our home (we recommend the supershuttle, it's way cheaper than a taxi, and doesn't take much longer).
We look forward to meeting you soon!!
Steve and Elke
PS: are you planning to stay in Queenstown while in New Zealand? We recommend staying with our friend Philip who is also an AirBnB host: http://www.airbnb.co.nz/rooms/951960
Steve's bed and breakfasts is convenient to all parts of town but especially to the Otago peninsula. Steven is a most helpful and knowledgeable host going out of his way to help. The area is in a peaceful neighborhood and all the rooms are clean and tidy. We would definitely stay there again.
We had a very pleasant stay at Steve and Elke's house. They are very welcoming hosts, provide helpful information about the area and their place is very comfy and clean. Highly recommended!!!
Steve and Elke were warm hosts. Our room was very nice with a comfortable bed. They helped us with our travel plans around Dunedin. They have a lovely house with great views.
I would happily recommend staying with (website hidden). Good luck for the wedding and with the new arrival in your family. Shirish. Jan 2014
It was really nice to stay with Elke and Steve. We had a warm welcome and they supported us with finding the right acitvities on Otago Peninsula.
We had some friedly talks with them although they let us a lot of space for us. As we are independet travellers we enjoyed the very much.
Very much enjoyed our stay with Steve & Elke. Accommodation exactly as described and is spacious and clean, location great for both the city and the peninsula.
Steve and Elke are awesome hosts. Their house is very comfortable and clean. We had some good talks. We would definitely recommend staying at their place.
Steve and Elke were fantastic hosts who were kind enough to share both their warm and comfortable home as well as their gorgeous country. The room was clean and the bed quite comfy. The house itself is very nicely situated on the start of the peninsula and its many beauties while still near to downtown and its conveniences.
After a long day of hiking and exploring the natural wonders of the region, their hot tub provided a great place to relax and let it all soak in while enjoying the great views.
We really enjoyed our time at Steve & Elke's place and would love to come back and stay again next time!
House full of instruments. Clean and lovely accommodation.
Really really great place to stay when considering Dunedin. Steve and Elke were very gracious hosts and went above and beyond by letting us check in quite early for our stay. The room was comfortable with all of the amenities you'd expect in an upscale B&B. Their house was kept immaculately clean during our stay, definitely appreciated. Steve and Elke were great to chat with and helped us decide how to spend our free time in the Dunedin area. They were always up for chatting or were happy to leave us to ourselves when we wanted some privacy. Covered parking is provided and free internet is available. Very short drive from downtown, don't let the fact that their home isn't in the downtown area scare you off. Dunedin traffic is light and there is abundant parking in the city center.
Communication was fantastic, super quick responses before/during booking and always available pre check-in and during our stay. We will definitely look them up again next time we're in Dunedin. So happy we booked with Steve and Elke.
