The Space

Thanks for checking out my place. I have a nice two-bedroom/one-bathroom apartment on a quiet, peaceful street.

If you're a tourist, my place is perfect whether you're driving or taking public transportation. I'm exactly in the middle of the west (best) side of Los Angeles most frequented by tourists. I'm halfway between Santa Monica (the ocean) and Downtown, and halfway between Hollywood and the 10 freeway.

I'm five blocks from the most convenient bus stop in Los Angeles (Fairfax and Wilshire). Santa Monica, UCLA, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Downtown and the rail/subway system are each ONE bus ride away from this stop.

If you're driving, you have the same convenience of reaching all these places easily on only one or two streets. I provide a parking permit which allows you to park on the street.

In addition to tourists, I also host business people attending conferences/seminars. For both, I prefer people who are active during the day and sleep at night.

Please read the house rules (third tab directly above) regarding noise at night and make sure you're comfortable with them.

The bedroom is 10x11 ft. and has a window air conditioner. The queen-size bed has a 14-inch pillow-top memory-foam mattress which guests love. I provide quality sheets/blankets/comforters.

The shared bathroom has a separate bathtub and shower. Towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided. The shower is 2x2.5 ft. The toilet has a bidet.

The kitchen has a fridge, stove, and toaster oven (no microwave). You are welcome to use the kitchen as long as you clean up after.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and La Brea Tar Pits are three blocks away, and within a 1/2 mile radius are restaurants including Starbucks, Marie Calendars, Johnny Rocket, The Counter, Baja Fresh, Chipotle, Five Guys, Papa Johns, Hunan Taste, IHOP, Ono Hawaiian BBQ, Shakey's, and the restaurants of Little Ethiopia.

Please be aware that with Airbnb a pre-approval does not guarantee a booking or prevent someone else from booking. Only an official booking guarantees a reservation.

Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. I look forward to meeting you.

  • Kevin is an excellent host, also a very nice and warm person. I always ask him where to dine in. where to travel around, where to buy grocery, he always answer me with his patience. He is hospitable and always willing to help me out. I stayed at Kevin's for 2 weeks, i felt i was living with an old friend, he is so friendly and has a lot of wisdom. I could learn a lot from him. His place has a great location, near to the Grove, LACMA, Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica, and the transportation is excellent. I definitely recommend his place.

  • Kevin is a very nice person. Warm and friendly. Took us to church on Sunday to participate in activities and visits to Hollywood, a very good day. I miss his massage chair. Very comfortable. I hope he is well.

  • Kevin is an excellent host, easy and quick to communicate with, and very friendly. Check in/out was managed smoothly. He takes great consideration of his guests, and he made me feel very welcome. He keeps his apartment very neat and clean. The room is set up perfect and easy to feel at home in. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept in during my 3 month long trip around cali, including my stays at various hotels. In all - it is a very pleasant and relaxing experience to stay with Kevin.

  • As always, Kevin is hospitable and well-prepared; his place is comfortable and convenient. And I found even more eating places in walking distance this time.

  • I stayed at kevin's for 2 nights while between leases and it couldn't have been a better or nicer place during a stressful time! Kevin was a real sweetheart, easy to get a hold of and was really easy to chat with. His place was really central, close to LACMA, the grove, hollywood, the 10 freeway.. basically in the middle of LA. The apartment was really neat, clean and cosy. I would definitely recommend his place to my own friends from out of town.

  • Kevin was an AMAZING host!!!! My boyfriend and I stayed with him for a weekend and we both found him to be EXTREMELY personable, kind, charismatic, and resourceful. My boyfriend described his personality as a mixture of Tom Cruise and Billy Bob Thornton. :)
... I found Kevins place to be very comfortable and clean. The bed in particular was nice and cozy. Overall, my stay with Kevin was exceptional. I highly recommend staying with him; especially if it's your first stay in LA!!~

Hey there, I'm a pretty easy going guy who enjoys meeting and spending time with other good people. I grew up on a farm in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri and still have a slight southern accent going on. I lived in Dallas for several years (which didn't help my accent any) and moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. I also substitute teach at a local high school. So far my travels have been rather limited--Mexico, Zimbabwe and South Africa--but after hosting so many great people from around the world I want to visit as many countries as I can. I've got some great friends who sometimes come over for dinner or to watch a movie. You're always welcome to join us. At the same time I respect privacy and anyone's desire to spend time alone. I'll do my best to make sure you have a great stay in Los Angeles. If you have any questions, drop me a message.
