About This Listing
Thanks for checking out my place. I have a nice two-bedroom/one-bathroom apartment on a quiet, peaceful street.
If you're a tourist, my place is perfect whether you're driving or taking public transportation. I'm exactly in the middle of the west (best) side of Los Angeles most frequented by tourists. I'm halfway between Santa Monica (the ocean) and Downtown, and halfway between Hollywood and the 10 freeway.
I'm five blocks from the most convenient bus stop in Los Angeles (Fairfax and Wilshire). Santa Monica, UCLA, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Downtown and the rail/subway system are each ONE bus ride away from this stop.
If you're driving, you have the same convenience of reaching all these places easily on only one or two streets. I provide a parking permit which allows you to park on the street.
In addition to tourists, I also host business people attending conferences/seminars. For both, I prefer people who are active during the day and sleep at night.
Please read the house rules (third tab directly above) regarding noise at night and make sure you're comfortable with them.
The bedroom is 10x11 ft. and has a window air conditioner. The queen-size bed has a 14-inch pillow-top memory-foam mattress which guests love. I provide quality sheets/blankets/comforters.
The shared bathroom has a separate bathtub and shower. Towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided. The shower is 2x2.5 ft. The toilet has a bidet.
The kitchen has a fridge, stove, and toaster oven (no microwave). You are welcome to use the kitchen as long as you clean up after.
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and La Brea Tar Pits are three blocks away, and within a 1/2 mile radius are restaurants including Starbucks, Marie Calendars, Johnny Rocket, The Counter, Baja Fresh, Chipotle, Five Guys, Papa Johns, Hunan Taste, IHOP, Ono Hawaiian BBQ, Shakey's, and the restaurants of Little Ethiopia.
Please be aware that with Airbnb a pre-approval does not guarantee a booking or prevent someone else from booking. Only an official booking guarantees a reservation.
Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. I look forward to meeting you.
I'm an easy going guy, but some neighbors have complained about excessive noise at night from some guests.
The floors are very thin and sounds easily travel from one level to the other (I'm on the second floor of a two story building). The good news is my neighbors are very quiet. After 11 pm, the following apply:
1. Talk at a low level (whisper is ideal) in the bedroom.
2. Walk lightly and quietly.
3. Use earphones with electronics.
4. Use the kitchen for snacks rather than preparing meals.
5. If coming home, walk up the steps very quietly.
The following are to help keep the place clean for you and guests to come:
1. Remove shoes at the door when entering.
2. Contain eating to the kitchen and dining room.
3. Squeegee the shower after showering.
Kevin was very helpful in getting the room booked even though Airbnb was having technical problems. Super nice guy. Funny, friendly, easy to hang out with. Gave you privacy when you were in your room. Great experience, thanks Kevin!
Pleasant residential neighborhood, quiet building, 5 minutes from LACMA and local cafes, 15 minutes to Whole Foods and Farmers Market area. Kevin is an experienced host who assisted with flexible check-in and offered notes about the area. Didn't have a car, but I understand guest parking is typically available.
Kevin was an amazing host. He is a teacher/actor with a strong sense of Southern hospitality. We went out for breakfast one morning at a favourite haunt of his, and he took me to The Counter for burgers. The place is close to everything- you can't go wrong here.
Great Host. Great Location. Room was very clean and comfortable. All around great experience.
REALLY GREAT GUY! He showed me great hospitality and gave me alot of information about the city and what to do in LA. I enjoyed to have him as a host. He is a really social and friendly guy but he also respects your privacy. I really really really would recomend Kevin to ny close friends and to you if you reading. I was there for two weeks and i really enjoyed stayin in LA. Those 5 stars dont lie!
Kevin's place is in a great location and he is a friendly and helpful host. The place was very clean.
