Large, clean beautiful apartment with full kitchen and bathroom all to yourself. Absolutely no sharing.
You are next to the train and In the middle of the city where tourist pay 3 times what you are paying to enjoy this vast city!
Charming and beautiful apartment, close to everything, in the heart of midtown Manhattan. This is a large studio apartment with high ceilings with a full kitchen and right next to the subway. Rather Walk? Time Square and central park are only a few minutes away.
The apartment is on the first floor and has very easy access. It is not noisy however since its on the back of the building not the front. The images are taken with a regular camera by us so no professional enhancement. Basically the apartment looks even better in person than it looks on the pictures unlike most apartments on Airbnb.
- Full kitchen
- Queen size bed
- A futon for more guests.
- Desk for work.
- Hair Dryer
- Iron and Iron Mat.
- Air Conditioner.
- Memory foam mattresses. (very comfortable)
- Small table for two for eating inside.
- Toiletries (Shampoo, body soap, toothbrush with paste, lotion, conditioner)
When there are more than two people the futon turns into a bed and we have a memory foam mattress to go over the futon bed. We provide all the bedding and extra towels. Although only a studio this is a comfortable place for groups of 3 or 4 to stay.
Unlike most apartments in Manhattan in airbnb we require no security deposit. If you have verifications and/or reviews we are very happy to host you.
We speak English, Spanish and understand Portuguese and French :)
Next to some of hottest restaurants and bars Manhattan has to offer. This is the perfect place for a couple who wants to enjoy the city in the best part of the city and the best place to stay for tourist.
Interaction with Guests
As much as the Guest wants to interact.
The amount of restaurants and shops as soon as you leave the apartment is astounding.
It really is the best place to live.
You are right next to the train! Go anywhere! You are in the middle of the city where tourist pay 3 times what you are paying to enjoy this vast city.
- Put garbage in bags and leave it inside the apt, we will pick it up for you. Keep things as clean as you can:)
- Don’t smoke inside the apartment.
- Don’t eat on the comforter or sheets. This is very important and one rule many guest do not follow. Leaving grease marks on the comforter most likely ruins it.
- Be friendly but keep a distance from neighbors. AirBNB recommends guest not be talkative with neighbors. This is because NYC is currently trying to decide whether to allow AirBNB to continue to exist in NYC. Some people feel tourist can make the neighborhood less safe and can complain to the district attorney.
- Enjoy your stay and ask us if you need anything, we are available to you at any time and would love to make your stay here the best possible.
Checked in with no problem, Rocio & Jimmy were great and offered wonderful suggestions for local eating establishments. Very convenient to the subway which is wonderful when it is cold outside.
We stayed for 3 nights in February. Pros - Super location, huge apartment, very quiet especially considering the location, and Jimmy was very responsive and friendly. Cons - we were freezing the entire time despite the space heater, windows are sketchy, and toiletry items listed in the listing were not provided or at least were not evident. We would not recommend staying there during the winter - the apartment is not cozy, and the indoor temperature stayed in the 50s the entire time even when we blasted the wall heater and the space heater.
Hi Heather, we am very surprised by your review. You did not mention the heating problem to us. Communication is key when using airbnb. Perhaps there was a problem with the radiator in the building. The super in the building is very responsive. We agree that you stayed during historic low temperatures in New York this February but we would have still filled the apartment with heaters if we knew that you were cold at any point. We are very sorry you experienced discomfort during your stay.
You also did not mention you needed more toiletries than the ones provided (most guest bring their own). We literately have tons of toiletries in the closet for guest to use. A single email could have solved this issue. Again, in airbnb, you should always communicate any issues or concerns with the host instead of surprising them with a review like this when they can no longer do anything about it. When we met you we said "if you need absolutely anything please don't hesitate to ask" and we meant it.
GREAT location! Large apartment with comfortable bed and fast internet. For this area of town, this is an incredible deal! Was super easy to arrange and communicate with Rocio and Jimmy.
Staycationed here for Valentine's Day weekend with my out-of-town significant other. First, the pros: reasonably priced, super quiet, spacious, comfortable bed, and clean space (could definitely use some more attention/dusting, but still decently clean overall). The location was good (especially if you're coming from JFK since the E is right at the end of the block) and the hosts were nice and brought an extra blanket at my request.
And the cons: it was freezing! The radiator is pretty weak and the space heater barely helped. The floors were ice cold and the bathroom was pretty much an icebox. First floor apartments do tend to be colder, but a better space heater would be a great investment. And maybe a carpet.
Also, the apartment is kinda sparse, but if you're planning on exploring the city most of the weekend, it's not a big deal. This is not the Ritz-Carlton and is not priced as such, so it's all good.
Lastly, I was a tiny bit disappointed that the hosts did not go the extra mile to leave an inexpensive bottle of wine/champagne or some grocery store flowers in the room since we were staying for VDay weekend. It would have been thoughtful, especially since one of us was an out-of-towner, but I guess that's more of something that's done at an actual hotel. All in all, I'd stay here again, just not in the winter.
House was as advertised, clean, and warm. Would stay again. Great hosts!
This was our first experience booking with Airbnb and we loved jimmy's and Rocio's place. The loft was exactly as the listing described but better. Jimmy was so kind when we arrived. The bed was super comfortable and the entire place was so clean. We felt completely taken care of and "at home." The location is great and the neighborhood is so quiet. I would stay there again and again. Thank you Jimmy!!
Rocio and Jimmy are great hosts: very nice and easy going. They were always there if I need them.
The apartment is GREAT -- it s very large for NYC, it has everything u need, a comfortable big bed, TV, hair dryer and and and.. and the best thing is the location -- it s close to all bests spots in NYC -- also the subway is just at the corner.
