  • This is a really nice cabin with everything you could want for a ski weekend. New kitchen with high end appliances. A great wood burning stove with dry firewood right outside. Nice hottub fitting at least 4. Perfect location in Tahoe City (though its up a hill so you may want 4WD if there is snow).

We stayed as 3 couples plus 2 12-month olds. It was a bit of a challenge to baby proof, but totally doable with some care. It would probably be perfect with older kids as there were lots of board games.

David (email hidden)sponded quickly and answered all the questions we had. Overall, a great experience.

  • The cabin was perfect for our group. There is one bedroom on the ground floor and one on the top floor that are ideal for couples, and then two bedrooms on the top floor that are good for single types. It's a short distance to Squaw and Alpine for skiers. Due to the drought, we headed to Heavenly which we heard had better snow. It is about an hour drive when the Emerald Bay road is open, and did indeed have good skiing. The cabin is super cozy with the fireplace and hottub, but also modern thanks to the remodeled kitchen. It was an excellent Tahoe spot.

  • We went to Lake Tahoe for a Christmas Holiday of skiing and some cozy days with the family over Christmas.

Despite snow conditions not being ideal, the cozy environment of David's cabin completely compensated for the lack of snow with exactly the experience we wanted. Nicely decorated, very clean, well equipped with everything you need to make for nice evenings in front of the wood-fired oven, with family cooking, parlor games, and reading, the cabin provided the perfect environment for our first American Christmas experience as a family in the States.

David, our host, was always very responsive and provided the right level of upfront information in a brief phone call just before our vacation started. Despite there being not much need to interaction due to the cabin being perfectly prepared, I always felt, David would be there to help if need be!

  • Really nice cabin with excellent updated kitchen! Hot tub was great as well (clean, seats about 4 people). Ipod docks were nice, and everything was very clean. Lots of various dishes (good for people who want to cook their meals there), and most supplies were already at the cabin. The washer and dryer were great to have and cleaned really well (so nice to take CLEAN clothes home!).

Very close to Tahoe city (within biking distance), and a pretty good location for a bunch of hikes withing 30 minutes driving distance.

My only complaint was that noise carries through walls inside walls pretty easily (although I am a very light sleeper), but no noise was heard from the outside so that's a plus.

  • David's house (email hidden) for a summer getaway with my friends. The house is extremely cozy and comfortable. The lake is a very short walk from the house and there are beautiful trails that can be accessed right from the backyard.

  • Wonderful stay at the (website hidden) is just how it is pictured and so cutely decorated. Kitchen and dining area is perfect to gather and share food/drinks with family and friends. Didn't get a chance to use the hot tub. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Only wish they had screens on their windows and back door so that we could let the summer breeze through without the mosquitos.

  • David was great, location was good and we enjoyed our stay.

  • Everything was perfect. The Kitchen Equipment was great and you could cook gourmet meals with all the equipment available. The beds were great and there is plenty of room for at least 6-7 and even 8 people. The neighborhood was great and quite. It was everything that we expected and even a bit more. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

  • We had an excellent time at "Lake Tahoe Cabin on West Shore." The home is nicely supplied with any kitchen utensils/towels/etc. that you may need. We had plenty of room for our group. The beds were comfortable and the living room was nice. The home is also easy to find and close to Alpine Meadows.
