The building itself is a dated Japanese apartment building built in 1971. Once you step inside this private apartment you’ll see a sharp contrast from your first impression outside. The interior of the apartment was newly renovated.
The apartment itself is a spacious thirty two square meter one bedroom apartment (a lot bigger than most of the tiny studios in Tokyo!) located on the 5th floor and gets plenty of natural sunlight. From the balcony you have a city view. There is a traditional Japanese style bath and shower. Utilities and high speed internet with wifi are all included, as well as all the other amenities to make your stay comfortable.
Our apartment’s location is the ideal base for exploring Tokyo. Our property borders Hinokicho park in Roppongi Tokyo Midtown and we are only a one minute walk from the entrance. Roppongi Tokyo Midtown is home to the Ritz Carlton Hotel (that’s how great the location is!) and a plethora of chic eateries and upscale bars. Our apartment offers fantastic transportation access as well. We’re only a five minute walk to Roppongi Station and Nogizaka Station. But if you want to enjoy the urban landscape by foot, Omotesando (Tokyo’s fashion district), Harajuku (street and pop culture Japan), Roppongi (nightlife and entertainment) are all within easy walking distance. There’s a large supermarket located in the Tokyo Midtown development, as well as ATMs/banks, Starbucks, restaurants, and boutiques.
ART, FOOD, CULTURE:
The National Art Center which is a massive venue with changing art exhibitions is only an 8 minute walk away. They have exhibitions of local artists with many interesting and unique pieces from all over Japan. From the apartment you can also take a leisurely stroll past Nogizaka shrine and continue on through Aoyama Cemetary which has beautiful sakura trees that blossom every spring. The road takes you down Omotesando dori which has some of the most unique architecture in the world. Continuing down Omotesando dori you hit Harajuku which is the epicenter of Japanese pop and street culture.
For you epicureans wanting to experience Japanese cuisine, you can easily walk to some of the best ramen, sushi, udon, and teppanyaki restaurants in Japan from our apartment. Just let us know what you’re interested in and we can help you out with your itinerary. We’re locals and can help you get off the beaten track.
We have an elevator in our building so no need to climb stairs after a long day out

***The apartment and neighborhood is extremely safe at all hours. There are many families living in the neighborhood. We also have a 24 hour onsite building manager in case there are any emergencies or problems.
Coming from Narita Airport, you can take either the Airport Limousine Bus (3,000 yen) to the Ritz Carlton Hotel at Tokyo Midtown and walk five minutes to the apartment. Great place. Convenient. Very near to Tokyo Midtown.
Apartment was as described. Checking in and out was easy. The floor when we checked in was a bit dusty. And there was construction across the road, which starts to get noisy from 8am. We were out of the apt by 8:30am most days, and earlier when we went to Tsukiji so not the greatest bother.
Enjoyed (website hidden). Tall people need to be careful, the door from dining to bedroom is 1.78m, and can clip your head.
Overall I liked this apartment. It is spacious for Japan and had most of what you needed. Shower was hot, refrigerator, stove, heater and washing machine all worked. There will be no items in the kitchen, not even a tea bag, so bring everything yourself. I asked for and was left a coffee pot to use which was appreciated. A nice surprise was the comfortable bed, warm bedding, and thick fluffy towels. The unit is on the fifth floor and has a tiny little view from the balcony of the tower.
While the portable wifi worked OK in the unit, once outside it was fairly worthless. It's nice to have a balcony, but this balcony is very dirty including an ashtray of cigarettes. As other people mention the exterior of the building and the interior hallways are in very poor condition. directly across from this unit there is a fairly large construction project underway. Be aware that they worked on Saturday and began early on Monday morning. this rental is really a business, you do not get the experience of being hosted by a local, a real drawback for many of the air B&B rentals in Tokyo.
The hosts are quite easy to coordinate with and provide clear instructions for the apartment. The apartment itself is fairly simple, but comfortable and in a great location. The decor is quite nice as well. It's a very good value for the nightly rate -- I would definitely recommend it to other guests.
The apartment was just what we wanted, having the balcony was great. The kitchen used every day and the washing machine was handy. The apartment is located near a lovely park. I would avoid Tokyo Midtown shopping mall as it is expensive and just go to Roppongi which is vibrant and cheaper. Roppongi subway was 5 minutes from the apartment
Great location (kinda hard to find at first) close to few subway station. Apartment is clean, but very small and very basic. We had expected something a little more charming and updated.
Generally did the job but nothing fancy.
The place was nice, and our host made sure to provide instructions on how to handle everything in our apartment. We're grateful that we found the place, and it was relaxing to stay there!

Konnichi wa! Hello from Tokyo!!! I love to share with you the beauty of contemporary Japanese culture. Having backpacked around the world I know first hand how it feels to be in a new country and to immerse oneself in a new culture. I'm inspired by those little details that we encounter everyday but often get overlooked in our busy lives in Tokyo from signboards to toy designs to building architecture. I would love to share with you our passion for art, Tokyo street culture, and local cuisine!
