The building itself is a dated Japanese apartment building built in 1971. Once you step inside this private apartment you’ll see a sharp contrast from your first impression outside. The interior of the apartment was newly renovated.
The apartment itself is a spacious thirty two square meter one bedroom apartment (a lot bigger than most of the tiny studios in Tokyo!) located on the 5th floor and gets plenty of natural sunlight. From the balcony you have a city view. There is a traditional Japanese style bath and shower. Utilities and high speed internet with wifi are all included, as well as all the other amenities to make your stay comfortable.
Our apartment’s location is the ideal base for exploring Tokyo. Our property borders Hinokicho park in Roppongi Tokyo Midtown and we are only a one minute walk from the entrance. Roppongi Tokyo Midtown is home to the Ritz Carlton Hotel (that’s how great the location is!) and a plethora of chic eateries and upscale bars. Our apartment offers fantastic transportation access as well. We’re only a five minute walk to Roppongi Station and Nogizaka Station. But if you want to enjoy the urban landscape by foot, Omotesando (Tokyo’s fashion district), Harajuku (street and pop culture Japan), Roppongi (nightlife and entertainment) are all within easy walking distance. There’s a large supermarket located in the Tokyo Midtown development, as well as ATMs/banks, Starbucks, restaurants, and boutiques.
ART, FOOD, CULTURE:
The National Art Center which is a massive venue with changing art exhibitions is only an 8 minute walk away. They have exhibitions of local artists with many interesting and unique pieces from all over Japan. From the apartment you can also take a leisurely stroll past Nogizaka shrine and continue on through Aoyama Cemetary which has beautiful sakura trees that blossom every spring. The road takes you down Omotesando dori which has some of the most unique architecture in the world. Continuing down Omotesando dori you hit Harajuku which is the epicenter of Japanese pop and street culture.
For you epicureans wanting to experience Japanese cuisine, you can easily walk to some of the best ramen, sushi, udon, and teppanyaki restaurants in Japan from our apartment. Just let us know what you’re interested in and we can help you out with your itinerary. We’re locals and can help you get off the beaten track.

It was such a great experience in a great apartment with great host! The apartment was neat and tidy with every equipment I need. It was rather small but comfortable for 4 member of my family. We enjoyed making our breakfast and dinner in the kitchen and sometime going to the Hinokicho park where we can take a rest, super relax with Japanese style garden.
About the host, they are nice and helpful and the most of all thing is their excellent english! We can talk and understand each other (website hidden) was a memorially trip in Tokyo, highly recommended!!!
Set a very short walk from the fantastic Tokyo Midtown, the location could not have been better. We were able to walk to Tokyo Tower, enjoy the local park and the metro was only 5 mins away. The apartment was kitted out with everything we might have needed. Communication with the host was quick and easy. I would recommend this place to stay if you want to go exploring around the city.
Perfect ! Well situated ans quiet, spacious with everything you need to spend a comfortable journey. Very good reactivity from Nick or Namiko or Satono (Oak Oak Oak), no problem to find, everything is well explained for the use of the apartment and it's a very good idea to have a dedicated site for (with good address for restaurants close by example).
professionally managed apartment which is basically run like a service apartment without the daily cleaning. everything is sufficient and simple to the point. apartment is spacious to japanese standard (where everything is small). bed is comfortable and apartment is quiet.
only downside is that it's quite a tough walk to the train station after a long day or with luggage, as the apartment is up a steep hill, and the walk to either the green line or ropponggi station is more like 15mins not 5-6mins as described.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at this appartment in Roppongi. The place is spacious and the cleanliness is perfect. We are a grup of 3 adult and 2 child and found it comfortable. The washing machine provided is really useful as I don't like bringing home dirty clothes...and there's a balcony for hanging the clothes. We found the surrounding area nice and not noisy. The convenient store is really close and train station is only 5 minutes away. One of the staff also help us with our travel itinerary. In overall we are very satisfied and will surely consider it for our next trip. Keep up the goodwork. Thank you all at Oak Housing
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful with any questions we had, and frequently checked in to see if our stay was going well. The apartment listing is very accurate and the room is cute. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, but Tokyo Midtown is a few minutes away by walk and it is also near a gorgeous park! The apartment building is not too nice and seemed to be in construction (?) but the stay was enjoyable.

About the Host, Oak
Konnichi wa! Hello from Tokyo!!! I love to share with you the beauty of contemporary Japanese culture. Having backpacked around the world I know first hand how it feels to be in a new country and to immerse oneself in a new culture. I'm inspired by those little details that we encounter everyday but often get overlooked in our busy lives in Tokyo from signboards to toy designs to building architecture. I would love to share with you our passion for art, Tokyo street culture, and local cuisine!
