If you like our apartment please feel free to go ahead and book it! We have our instant booking set on so you can reserve immediately. Also, our calendars are all up to date so you can easily tell if it's available or not. The building itself is a dated Japanese apartment building built in 1971. Once you step inside this private apartment you’ll see a sharp contrast from your first impression outside. The interior of the apartment was newly renovated in April 2014.
The apartment itself is a spacious thirty two square meter one bedroom apartment (a lot bigger than most of the tiny studios in Tokyo!) located on the 5th floor and gets plenty of natural sunlight. From the balcony you have a city view. There is a traditional Japanese style bath and shower. Utilities and high speed internet with wifi are all included, as well as all the other amenities to make your stay comfortable.
Our apartment’s location is the ideal base for exploring Tokyo. Our property borders Hinokicho park in Roppongi Tokyo Midtown and we are only a one minute walk from the entrance. Roppongi Tokyo Midtown is home to the Ritz Carlton Hotel (that’s how great the location is!) and a plethora of chic eateries and upscale bars. Our apartment offers fantastic transportation access as well. We’re only a five minute walk to Roppongi Station and Nogizaka Station. But if you want to enjoy the urban landscape by foot, Omotesando (Tokyo’s fashion district), Harajuku (street and pop culture Japan), Roppongi (nightlife and entertainment) are all within easy walking distance. There’s a large supermarket located in the Tokyo Midtown development, as well as ATMs/banks, Starbucks, restaurants, and boutiques.
ART, FOOD, CULTURE:
The National Art Center which is a massive venue with changing art exhibitions is only an 8 minute walk away. They have exhibitions of local artists with many interesting and unique pieces from all over Japan. From the apartment you can also take a leisurely stroll past Nogizaka shrine and continue on through Aoyama Cemetary which has beautiful sakura trees that blossom every spring. The road takes you down Omotesando dori which has some of the most unique architecture in the world. Continuing down Omotesando dori you hit Harajuku which is the epicenter of Japanese pop and street culture.
For you epicureans wanting to experience Japanese cuisine, you can easily walk to some of the best ramen, sushi, udon, and teppanyaki restaurants in Japan from our apartment. Just let us know what you’re interested in and we can help you out with your itinerary. We’re locals and can help you get off the beaten track.
We have an elevator in our building so no need to climb stairs after a long day out

The apartment was nice and well equiped with the things we needed. The location was great. Very close to multiple subway stations and places to eat. Our host was so accomodating, he gave great directions and recommendations of places to eat in the area. It was very comfortable. There is construction going on outside the window but they ususally don't start until a reasonable time in the morning. Our host offered us some ear plugs free of charge but we woke up early so we felt it we didn't need them. Overall a good experience!
We stayed here for 8 nights and overall had a great experience. The building is definitely old and when we walked in for the first time we were a bit concerned. But the apartment itself was great, we used the kitchen every morning to make breakfast and felt at home after a few days. The location itself is super central and we were able to easily go to other neighbourhoods via the metro. Overall, we had a great experience staying here especially for the price we paid.
Great central location for Tokyo, near Roppongi Metro station and across from the Tokyo Midtown mall and Ritz Carlton Hotel (Limousine Bus to Narita).
Apartment was as described, simple and very functional, with a genuine double bed. You can take the Internet / wifi with you when out and about which is hugely practical.
Very smooth self check-in and check-out process.
Instructions were clear, place was clean, neighborhood was great! Couldn't have asked for anything better.
Overall it was a great experience staying here. The check-in and check-out process was easy, communication with the hosts was smooth, and it was great having a cosy apartment where we could cook and feel a bit at home in such a hectic city.
The apartment is well located in terms of eating out and getting around. There were a couple of supermarkets close-ish by (Precce - expensive Japanese and import foods, and My Basket (まいばすけっと) - more reasonably priced neighbourhood supermarket), but we couldn't find anything closer than a 10-minute walk away. This wasn't really a problem for us.
The only small complaint would be the construction right across the street, which starts at 8 am and ends around 5 pm, Monday to Saturday. Although not unbearable, it made sleeping in a bit difficult.
A previous reviewer complained about the state of the building - as someone who lived many years in Tokyo I can say the building, while certainly a bit scuffed, is in a good condition for a place that age, and is kept very clean.
The apartment was great with quite a bit of space and all basics required. Perfect for 2 people. Instruction booklet had plenty of English directions on how to use appliances such as washing machine and air con. Internet was fast and easy. The hosts were fabulous. Very responsive and checked in on us to ensure we found everything ok. They also provided awesome recommendations for local restaurants. The apartment is located between two stations and very close to Rippongi and Akasaka so a range of food options nearby. There's also a convenience store and beautiful park nearby. Thoroughly recommend.
Big thanks to our hosts!
Enjoy our stay and the location is great from major metro stations! We traveled with our son and they managed to set up a crib for our son too! Thank you all very much!

Konnichi wa! Hello from Tokyo!!! I love to share with you the beauty of contemporary Japanese culture. Having backpacked around the world I know first hand how it feels to be in a new country and to immerse oneself in a new culture. I'm inspired by those little details that we encounter everyday but often get overlooked in our busy lives in Tokyo from signboards to toy designs to building architecture. I would love to share with you our passion for art, Tokyo street culture, and local cuisine!
