The apartment was fantastic!! We were warmly welcomed to the property and given information about the area Big Help when staying in Amsterdam. The location itself was perfect surrounding area has everything you'll need why staying. The apartment itself is beautiful, if you love art your in for a real treat, truly mesmerising. On a whole the apartment and city are the best I've stayed at thankyou very much Marie Clare for letting us stay at your wonderful home.
We were very pleased with our choice to stay in Marie's "Unique apartment in Amsterdam" ! This was our first time in Amsterdam and our first airbnb experience. Marie and her boyfriend greeted us warmly and left us with snacks and a bottle of wine. The apartment was in a perfect location for sight seeing and in a safe area. Very close to bike rentals and a 3 minute walk to the Anne Franke Huis. We also really enjoyed the shopping and restaurants in the Jordaan area. The grocery shop right below the apartment was very convenient to pick up milk, bread and snacks. Marie's kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed for our breakfast meals. *Great coffee maker! For the convenience of the apartment, it was also quiet at night with no trouble sleeping and actually very nice to hear the Westerkerk Church clock tower chiming in the background. I would definitely recommend Maries apartment!
I will definitely stay in Marie's house if I come back to Amsterdam again, you should too ! :)
She was a great host, welcomed us when we arrived with a bottle of wine, lots of beer, cheese, some snacks and her pretty smile. I didn't expect that the house is too close to the center and could be walked everywhere. For the first day, you should take a tram to reach the house if you have a heavy luggage, but for the rest of your holiday you can walk wherever you want in max 30 minutes.
Marie immediately helped us when we needed some, gave us some tips about the city. She also offered her car and invited us to the boat on gay pride.
Thanks for all Marie, thanks for all! :)
Communication was fantastic, location is perfect and photos are exactly what you get.
Check in and check out were very flexible though we never actually met Marie. We were met by Marie's partner who was quite helpful, and we were greeted with a nice array of food and a much-needed bottle of wine. The apartment was nice, fairly clean, and in a good location. The Jordaan area was particularly cool. We had a great time and found it really helpful to have an apartment as a home base with a toddler.
Not the most ideal apartment for a baby or very young child though, as there are lots of small/breakable things within reach of curious toddlers and stairs up to the bedroom (we put kitchen chairs in the way to slow her down). It would be more suited to individuals/couples or families with older children (no fault of Marie's though, it was our first international trip with our 16 month old and we're just figuring out our own needs!).
Wonderful experience both hosts were so welcoming and the home is amazing so much space, such a clean tidy area, exactly what we needed
We had a great experience staying in this apartment!
Marie waited for us in the apartment for our arrival, and had a bottle of wine and snacks ready for us. She showed us around in the apartment, and gave us some tips about Amsterdam. She also offered to lend us her car, if we wanted to take a car trip to The Hague, but we never got around to do that.
The apartment is very nice, it looks great and has all the facilities.
The location is great, just west of the Dam square. So basically everything is within walking distance.
