Your warm and cozy entire home away from home, with fully stocked kitchen, great view and tons of privacy, centrally located between 2 world famous national parks - Crater Lake - deepest lake in USA & Lava Beds/caves & Mt Shasta - tallest volcano in USA! It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with extra queen airbeds available upon request. Please read my "House Rules". This is my home, so there will be personal items around. (but I will leave) Thank you!

The space

Note: AFTER you book my home, PLEASE read through the entire "House Manual" that is available after booking takes place.
I live in scenic Klamath Falls located in Southern Oregon. I take pride in making my home a sanctuary away from the hub bub of the public, and ensuring complete PRIVACY and ANONYMITY! Let me know what you need and I will do my very best to give it to you and make your stay pleasurable and relaxing.
Feel free to play my antique Baby Grand piano anytime you like.
I live alone with only a mountain behind me, overlooking the city, yet only 5 minute drive from downtown. Only traffic on my street are my neighbors.
I am a mom, gramma, daughter, sister, friend, and I don't smoke, am not a partier, have no pets any longer, and only drink socially, live alone, so it is a peaceful & in a very quiet area & discreet home to stay in. It's not a palace, but it's homey. The perfect centrally located place to recharge in between the many adventures available! My home is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1700 square foot home, with a view of gorgeous Mt. Shasta from my front deck and a wonderful mountain behind me to hike on. In addition to the 3 bedrooms, I have access to 3 queen pillow top airbeds as well. I only put those airbeds out if requested, due to number of guests. So, that's 3 real beds, sleeps 6. If you tell me more are coming, via your reservation, then I put up more queen airbeds based on the number you have told me. PLUS I have a soft leather couch - sectional that could possibly sleep 2 more if requested.

Note: this is my home that I live in, so my belongings are here, and in a quiet, private location on mountainside. (yes I will stay somewhere else during your stay!) I've lived here for 30 years & raised my children here. It is not a "condo" with paper thin walls in a building with 9 condos in it. My fully stocked kitchen is FULLY stocked... not just salt and pepper and with plenty of utensils. It's not a mansion, just my home :)

This is the perfect place to stop and rest if you are traveling through Klamath Falls, but it is also the perfect alternative to a motel for Business people, or for Locum Tenums that need a temporary place to stay while working here. It's a very quiet and peaceful place to be, which is also why I have had musicians and actors stay here incognito. Full privacy. Nobody knows you are here.

Besides the multitude of hiking opportunities, I do have a treadmill in my "back room" available for your use.

I'm renting my entire home. Master suite has King size bed, and has it's own bathroom with double sinks and duo shower heads. Since this is my home that I actually live in, the entire closet will not be available in Master Bedroom. There are 2 more bedrooms with queen size beds in them, washer and dryer, and FULLY stocked kitchen. There's a TV in living room. Also FREE Wi-Fi.

I also have 3 more Deluxe Queen size airbeds if needed for an extra bed in one of the bedrooms, AND in the living room and back room.
I have a huge leather sectional in my living room, that is very comfortable and could possibly sleep 2 more people on it. (1 on each end) So there are 6 beds (3 real and 3 air) and the sofa in living room. There's always floor space for sleeping bags too.

People come from all over the world to take pictures of our unique collection of birds on and around Klamath Lake (10 minutes from my home) and Tulelake Wildlife Refuge.
I am only an hour away from world famous Crater Lake.
The Oregon Shakespearean Theater (known all over the world) is an hour's drive away, as is the world famous National Lava Beds with it's mysterious underground caves/caverns to explore.
The area is well known for it's hiking, fishing, hunting, sailing, and much more.
Wonderful photography opportunities!

My home is 3 miles from "downtown" and 6 miles from Sky Lakes Medical Center (our hospital) and OIT (Oregon Institute of Technology).
The Steens Sports Park is only about 1 mile away from me, too.

I do not have any pets due to allergies. If you bring your pet, you may keep in the garage or crated in back room, or in the fully fenced in back yard.

I'll need to know what your time of arrival will be. Check in is normally 5:30 since I get off work at 5:00 weekdays, but if other arrangements need to be made, please let me know. I will greet you, show you around, then I will leave and stay at my brother's home up the street.

And PLEASE follow my driving instructions for getting to my home, because, everytime someone has used their GPS, for some odd reason, it takes them on the longest routes possible! My directions are the shortest to my house. And when arriving, please park up along the right side of my house up on top of driveway, on the flat side.

Must see Crater Lake! Like No Place Else On Earth
Crater Lake has inspired people for thousands of years. No place else on earth combines a 2000 ft deep, pure lake, so blue in color; sheer surrounding cliffs, almost two thousand feet high; two picturesque islands; and a violent volcanic past. It is a place of immeasurable beauty, and an outstanding outdoor laboratory and classroom.

Adventure at the Lava Beds
Lava Beds National Monument is a land of turmoil, both geological and historical. Over the last half-million years, volcanic eruptions on the Medicine Lake shield volcano have created a rugged landscape dotted with diverse volcanic features. More than 700 caves, Native American rock art sites, historic battlefields and campsites, and a high desert wilderness experience await you!

Interaction with guests

You have complete privacy in my home, very quiet neighborhood on a mountainside, only traffic is who lives on the street. If you hear anything at all, you might hear the chirping of birds in the mornings. I check you in and then leave. I am available though anytime, as I will be staying just up the street during your stay.

Other things to note

My home is a great central location to many areas of interest. And it is not just an empty condo, it is a home, very homey and comfortable and a kitchen filled with everything at your disposal. Steen's sports park is just about a mile down the road, and Klamath Falls is home to Kiger Stadium!
People that stay with me USUALLY drive up from or down to San Francisco (same distance away - I'm right in the middle), make a pit stop here and since I am exactly centrally located from alot of sights, take in Crater Lake National Park and/or the Lava Beds National Monument and sometimes Ashland which is a quaint little town that homes the world famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival .. and the Britt Festivals a little bit further... oh and Lake of The Woods is only a 45 min drive from my house, oh heck there are too many hiking and wilderness areas to explore to even list! You drive right by Mt. Shasta to get to me, and I look out at Mt Shasta from my front deck (when there isn't smoke!). It's only an hour drive away from me too. It's the 2nd highest volcano in the USA! And then during summer months, there's the Klamath Falls Farmers' Market which is a 5 minute drive from my house. Wow, I just realized I am right in between the highest volcano in the United States AND the deepest lake in the United States. You can see how you can spend a whole week at my AirBnB home with all these day adventures to experience! Then some just do NOTHING but totally relax in the quietness of my backyard on the mountain side, listening to the birds. Well then there's the occasion business person in town for meeting and is sick of motels ... or the overflow from weddings and class reunions, etc. I had a Locum Tenen (temporary doctor) stay here for 3 months with me!

Teri was super sweet and accommodating. The location worked out perfectly for us. Home was located in a quiet, safe neighborhood just minutes from shopping and restaurants. Teri provided food, snacks, coffee and teas, to name just a few. Even though we purchased food, there seems to always be something you forget on your list. Blankets and sheets were soft and comfy:) Appliances were nicely upgraded. Overall a great stay.:)

Teri was a very welcoming and kind lady. She went out of her way to accommodate my group of 9's needs. Everything we requested was provided. The house is accurately described - lovely, quiet and friendly neighborhood, close to town conveniences but far enough to feel out of the way. The kitchen is well stocked - probably more stocked than necessary. Plenty of blankets, towels and comfortable places to sit. Teri does her best to make you feel at home - but it is clear you are in someone else's home - the walls, fridge, and just about every surface are lined with family photos. Overall, a very pleasant and easy experience. Perfectly suitable for a small-medium group looking for an intimate gathering space and homebase.

The host is very nice and very helpful. This is my first time using Airbnb and definitely she makes this first-time experience very nice. Her home is at a good location, not too far from Crater Lake and Lava Bed. Her home is nice, spacious and located in a nice neighborhood. Right behind her house is a walking trail, which is nice. The amenities provided are just as described in the listing. In addition, she also went out of her way to provide food, things to do. Great location and would definitely rent again if I visited Crater Lake.

Pros- good location, fully stocked kitchen, good linen. Very gracious host. Went out of her way to make soy milk and dairy free bread available to us. Had info for local restaurants and sightseeing for us, along with a personalised letter and instructions. Cons- compared to other b&bs this is somewhat overpriced, air mattresses not very comfortable, when in a large group only 2 bathrooms seem inadequate. However, would recommend staying there because Teri is a great host.

Response from Teri:
I might remind you that everything was explained in DETAIL on my listing, that there are 2 bathrooms & 3 real beds (a King and 2 queens) then if needed, there would be 2 pillowtop airbeds for you to use as well. The first 6 people got real beds, and the other 4 got queen size pillowtop airbeds with same soft linens that that the real beds had. So this was disclosed before you booked with me. I might add that I reduced the price for you, then after you all left, I had to order a new air bed because it was ruined, and there is a huge stain of melted crayons on my back deck, yet did not request the security deposit be kept, I have let it go. I do thank you for staying in my home though, I appreciate that with choices, you chose mine. I'm glad you like the extra steps I took for you, too! Have a wonderful day! Glad you all made it back home safe and sound. :)

I LOVE sharing my home with guests from all over the world! This is truly your home away from home. I take pride in making my home a sanctuary away from the hub bub of the public, and ensuring complete privacy and anonymity! I can interact with you, or give you complete privacy, it is all up to you. Let me know what you need and I will do my very best to give it to you and make your stay pleasurable and relaxing. I love making people feel like they are family coming home to visit.
I live alone with only a mountain behind me, overlooking the city, yet only 5 minute drive from downtown. Only traffic on my street would be a neighbor. You might have an occasional deer visit you to eat apples from my trees, or be entertained by the huge family of quail that live in my bushes and sometimes come out and run around the yard and neighborhood basking in the sun. I enjoy a BBQ, beer or glass of wine on back deck, a dip in my hot tub while enjoying the evening breeze off the mountain. Coffee enjoyed in morning either back deck, or on front deck gazing out towards majestic Mt. Shasta & city.
I am a Breast Cancer Survivor (woo hoooo!) a mom, gramma, daughter, sister, friend, an Executive Assistant at a Healthcare company, and I don't smoke, am not a partier, have no pets any longer. This is a peaceful & very quiet area & an extremely discreet home to stay in.
My son came home after a 3 month internship in New York once and stood in our yard with eyes closed and smiling. I asked what's wrong and he said ""Do you hear that?" I said "No, it's silent". He said "Exactly!" LOL!
It's not a palace, but it's homey. I enjoy taking pictures of all the breathtaking scenery that God has surrounded me with. I was born in Los Angeles, California but I grew up here. I enjoy spending time with my 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren, going to concerts and meeting new people. I love music, it soothes my soul, and speaks when there are no words. My favorite band since 1983 is Bon Jovi (for many reasons, on many levels) so prepare to see my special "BonJovi" back room, filled with special memories of the people that have enriched my life, and the entire rest of my home filled with photos of my special family who are the center of my universe.
As you are reading this, I hope you are having a joyful & peaceful day!
